This is one of those male leads who only cares about his own feelings, he literally says as much. He encourages the female lead to confess to her crush so he and her friend will break up out of guilt, which is so messed up, but I was willing to ignore it. But then, with her still being hung up on her friend, and him knowing this

. I hate it when shoujo manga have male leads like that but try to make it into a cute little romance story. That’s such a huge ick, why would I like a male lead who only cares about himself and makes it clear that if the FL wasn’t a typical pushover shoujo FL who actually set boundaries he still wouldn’t respect them. and that you definitely wouldn’t have their consent to do so is so icky, stop giving me selfish male leads like this who are played off as ideal love interests who are only able to get what they want because the FL lets them. What’s with the weird manipulative tone at the end?
Originally a cute story but then once they’re in a relationship that stupid heroine suddenly can’t make any guy friends cause she’s worried her boyfriend will get jealous? And the boyfriend is in university, he should be more mature than that.

Absolutely loving this one right now! I love how the characters actually communicate with each other, when misunderstandings so easily happen in shoujo manga. Can’t wait to read the whole thing!
Update: Man, I wish this series was longer than only 2 volumes! The mangaka definitely could've extended this by 1 volume (even 1 chapter!) as it felt like it ended abruptly. I still love the series but
Update 2: With the release of the extra special chapter (9.5), all of my upsets with the series were assauged - still think it could have gone for longer but everything was tied up neatly!

I'm upset Aya decided to cut Shinohara from her life because of Ryuu's jealousy. Wish they could've stayed friends.
