I live for the secret identity tag, and this series was 100% made for me. Excels in comedy, lovable characters, and art. Above average in drama, social commentary, and (slow burn)romance.

I randomly read the first chapter passing through manga plus and didn't stop till i was caught up lol. This is a surprisingly wholesome and really hilarious series, despite what the adult characters do for a living. Actually that part of it makes the story even more entertaining and funny. Not to mention the art and action moments are pretty good in this.
All 3 of the main characters have great personalities and are enjoyable to watch but the stand out is definitely the daughter. She is so hilarious at times and her reactions and "reading" moments are always the best. Cant recommend this enough and hope it gets an anime later.

If you're looking for a serious spy manga filled with twists, action and mystery....

...this is not it.

But! Give it a try. It's a light read, the characters are whimsical and the dynamics is so cute it's giving me heart problems. The forced drama and exaggerations are part of the gag, I'm sorry that some were put off by it. After all the plot-heavy manga I've been reading, this was a pleasant change I didn't know I needed. I personally loved it. (I live for Anya's reactions lol)

(Also, the chapters are pretty long and that always gets the mangaka into my good books >w<😉)

I gave it 10 chapters to change my mind, but I didn't like it as much as everyone else appears to. It's listed as a comedy and drama but it wasn't funny at all to me, and the drama was super forced. It was like watching horrible TV actors. Well, that's shounen for you, I guess. I should probably just stop reading shounen, tbh, especially when romance is included in the genre. Any time shounen and romance mix together you already know it's going to be a bunch of beating around the bush and concluded with a super lazy ass open end. I'm honestly not sure if Japanese people have any idea how relationships even work.

This is the story of a spy pretending to live a normal life: it's not a serious tragedy, it definitively falls under the comedy genre but at the same time it has many serious aspects that make it very interesting.

First of all, the characters are all very likeable and their family life is the main reason why this manga is so attractive. It's cute, it's funny and it keeps you concerned about the fate of our protagonists, although as of now I feel like the wife is getting much less screen time than the father and daughter.

It has a nice touch of humaneness in it, using a protagonist that appears insensible at first but all of his actions are very kind, and his motives are understandable. Why he does his job, why he's that way… all of it makes sense, ultimately, and his aim for peace is very credible.

But adding to this slice of life / comedy aspect, the novel is set in a replica of the Western Bloc of Germany during the cold war, and I believe the author did an extremely nice job in this case. He's not trying to show an ideal world of happiness, but he's not painting a world of horror either, I think he got the atmosphere right and you find a perfect setting for spies and conspiracies, with a neutral depiction of an autocracy. Didn't people ultimately live, at those times too?

It's nice to see that the author is also willing to break a few taboos, such as people dying or main characters killing. There's no sweetener about that, the people we follow here might do cruel things and there'll be neither justification nor condemning.

"I’m just waiting for when everyone’s secrets to come out seeing how the manga always reminds you that people have sides to them that they don’t show

Ania/Anya is a gem and all she wants is a real family to belong to seeing how it seems that she had it rough as a child. I wanna see more of Lloyd/loid and yoru/yor and I just want them to fall in love already and become a real family. All in all it’s a Greta read and I just can’t wait for the next chapter to come through"

i just saw some pics of it in twitter then hooked up with the art, after reading hooked up with characters and plot as well. The little girl is just too cute. Adventure comedy and cuteness in one, definitely a winner ~~

Action, comedy, romance, family, slice-of-life and it's HILARIOUS!

I'm at chapter 12 right now and I can't stop. It is absolutely foolishly and ridiculously crazy good! It packs all that I love too! (Refer to comment subject.)

It's well-made plot-wise and all 3 protagonists are thoroughly enjoyable. I like Lloyd and Yor's moments. Yet, Anya truly shines and steals all the spotlights as far as she's in it. She is extremely adorable and cute and fluffy and mature and childish at the same time.

Ah, I think I should take a little break for more chapters to compile before diving back in. This is just so good! I just love family, action, comedy works.

Almost forgot, because it's a lot of comedy, it's not too much or too deep to delve into the thinking. It might. But as far as I'm concerned, all are good! So take it away guys! Read the hell out of it!
