ARGH! I gave this manhua a chance, I really did! Yes, it's mostly a rehash of the same old same old. A doctor transmigrates into Ancient China, meets and falls in love with a prince, has a toxic family with a jealous older sister, and a truly dull father...
Been there, seen it. What made me read this further despite all the cliches just pilling one atop the other was some nice moments... The FL is not a Mary Sue, in fact she's a very average person in terms of cunning and smarts, which is actually pretty refreshing. Her doctor skills were not pushes too much. The ML was actually depicted as a introverted, closed guy who feels deeply but just doesn't know how to show his feelings, which was also pretty nice and had masses of potential... So I just went with the terribly slow pace, too short chapters and an idiotic story that had no clear bearing... And that crazy sister, turned into a villanous caricature, that is ready to kill people of the bat just to... Marry someone? Meh, typical shojo trope that gets on my nerves every time I see it.
The chapters went on and on, and all sorts of things happened, and I was still thinking, this can be good.
But then the misunderstanding between the Ml and FL just killed it flat. It was so horrible,so bad, so unnecessary. I dislike this immensely in manhuas, this type of communication breakdowns that could be remedies so easily is the people just spoke normally to one another. And then, at chapter 100 I decided to give up.
I will still say that the ML and FL are not that badly constructed, and that there was some potential, but please! enough with this!
So, to sum it up, skip. Find a better manhua.
