Predictable & Boring

Basically cultivation + travel back to youngerself/reincarnation. MC is OP and basically always faces arrogant opponents and wins. Always upgrades prior to or during battle to ensure victory. It's a hot mess.

Wasted potential, mediocre at best.

Pros:
-Good Art
-Interesting side characters
-Cool modern day setting for a cultivation story

Cons:
-Main Character is the least interesting character and bordering unlikable with his superiority complex.
-Terrible storytelling:
1)Incredibly repetitive even for a cultivation manhua.
2)No tension in the story. The main character is stupidly overpowered and there aren't even any enemies that are worth mentioning until past chapter 100 and even then just barely. I stopped at 180 and no one has yet to even hurt or put up a challenge against the main character even when he is outnumbered.
3)Story jumps all over the place and doesn't explain a lot and rarely builds up anything. In the start we meet someone who MC calls his good friend from his previous life and how he is going to save him and then we barely see him again. Then later on in the story the main character goes back to his hometown and we meet 5 new characters who we never heard about who he then says are his 5 best friends. He doesn't act like any of these people are his best friends and i have yet to see them again after that small story arc. The author rarely has him express affection outside of giving amulets to the people he regretted not saving in his past life. The only time he expressed any real emotion up to chapter 180 was when he regretted letting a girl who he had pretend to be his girlfriend suffer for months while he went to meditate.
4)Cultivation in this is just sitting in an area with energy and meditating until he powers up. He doesn't need to find anything or practice any skills he remembers thousands of skills and arrays that he can use as soon as he levels up.
5)MC chooses to train a couple random people he met but won't train any of the women who like him or his friends that he regrets letting die previously. He rather just help them with a pill, by pulling strings to help them get a job, or giving them a protection amulet. It doesn't come off that he really cares about them or wants to have them live with him in the outer worlds. He just doesn't want to have any regrets for not helping them so he can pass the tribulation that killed him before the story began.
- This one isn't the author's fault but is important. The translation for this starts off well but then gets bad. In the beginning they tell you some of the cultivation levels and names of various things but then the translator changes and uses totally different terminology and then the new characters will talk about different types of fighters and you have no idea what they mean. Even if you use the wiki with the levels they don't use the same terms this translator chose. Thankfully the wiki cites which chapter the MC reaches each level so you can tell what he is but it doesn't help with what the other terms that are used. At chapter 178 the translation changes for the worse again and at a bad time because a bunch of new characters get introduced from new factions.

The story is interesting in the beginning because everything is new and you want to see where it will go but it doesn't go anywhere and just repeats the same scenario over and over. MC will get disrespected by some rich guy who for whatever reason doesn't have anyone tell him that the MC is already the boss of an area or powerful and then when he finds out he is like OMG I AM SO SORRY! Then MC will either make them his subordinate or tell them you still have to die because you didn't listen to me before. It's a shame because the modern day setting with the rich families and gangs had a lot of potential as a starting area for a cultivation manhua. Think something like Sun Ken Rock or The Breaker but it's wasted. The MC gets rich and overpowered right away and none of the other characters in the city matter or last more that 1 or 2 chapters after becoming his enemy.

This isn't even worth it for the romance which is a shame because the women who like him are written well but MC ignores them even though he knows they like them and even says some were good friends before. He only cares about 1 girl who he was with in his previous life but even that story is told haphazardly. We see the MC looking at her once early on but then he walks away without talking to her and then the next time we see her is when he joins her college and it turns out they were childhood friends and he promised to marry here when they were younger but it's been 6 years where they haven't even talked and then as soon as they see each other she doesn't ask about what he was doing for all these years and they are just together again. But he doesn't even reveal his true self to her or trains her to come with him like other cultivation stories. At least not by chapter 180 but this far in nothing really has happened. It might get better when he reaches the higher worlds but you shouldn't have to wait this long for a story to get good I'm amazed people stuck with it for so long. I can only recommend this is if you are looking for something to kill time and don't mind shutting off your brain like when you watch some action movies with stupid plots.

Could of been good but turned into a chinese supremacy master race manga

The start was decent and had the typical face slapping and surprise power reveals. Later on he fights other countries makes them suffer and tells them ill never let China lose to these inferior blah blah and their gods/monsters and how east is superior to all etc. i made it through the first couple hundred chapters of it but eventually it just reaches a ridiculously state of patriotism. Spoiler ahead: He goes to a new world where all Chinese people are despised for being weak and he basically kills them all to show China is the greatest. all their bloodlines are amazing but another races god cursed them etc and if they weren't they would of ruled that world blahblah.

TLDR too much Chinese brainwashing propaganda and not enough about story. I quite like eastern novels/mangas but this one has been too much.

Typical OP MC Beat all enemies

so typically this is about a godly immortal cultivator that travel back in time to his prime and become strongest being on earth thus his mission is beating all enemies or those who look down on him. I know the story it's repetitive in the same pattern but you cannot deny you feel better by beating those unbearable bastard that exist in real life.

It’s not terrible. It starts off pretty good but there are a lot of times where it feels like you missed something. Especially with the female characters. Like the first time they meet the MC, they think he’s a loser and then suddenly they’re all over him.
Also the author kinda just randomly adds characters without much explanation.
Like Tongshan for example. He’s introduced as a copper corpse that the MC fights & beats and next chapter he’s following the MC under his control. No explanation whatsoever. What?
I haven’t read the novel but I might just to see if it goes into better detail.

Edit: There was a huge update so I decided to continue reading and surprise surprise nothing makes sense anymore. I’m not picky about these types of manhua. In fact I usually enjoy series with overpowered MCs but this is something else. Like the MC locks himself in his room for a couple of weeks and practically becomes a god with little to no explanation.
Also his own girlfriend/fiancé/wife has yet to even see just how powerful he really is yet he has multiple girls willing to follow him to the ends of the world lol.
Honestly I’m barley hanging on at this point. But the T/N from the site I’m reading from are hilarious and makes reading this much more enjoyable.
I don’t even really know where the story is heading. After he beats everyone in the world, then what? He becomes immortal but what about his girlfriend? I’m surprised he hasn’t started teaching her martial arts so they can both become immortal and live their eternal lives happy ever after.

Decent -> terrible

A twist on the classic isekai culivation genre or rather a double flip of the pancake, it's a guy that went a cultivator isekai yet the story beginning with him coming back to his previous life after almost becoming a god in that isekai, so a highschool kid that's lived for hundreds of years and has knowledge of cultivation in our reality.
Has quite a few of the school subplots, both in petty squabbles over popularity and shallow romances yet it becomes less prominent in later chapters.
Overall, its a decent twist but nothing remarkable so story is decent, chars are ok, mainly only the MC has any importance in the story and the drawing and art style are not particularly good.

Edit:
After 60ch or so the author is out of ideas and the whole manhua is just him going on and on about how the MC and thus him is so awesome and godly and everyone should revere him even if they don't know who the f*** he is and basically the author kissing his own ass. This is unreadable garbage. Better avoid it all together.
Dropped.
