Goes a bit fast at the very end to wrap up, but entertaining enough in art and story until then.
Once again Japan easily demonstrates black fragility, please do not try to self insert into a non-african character then get mad when they lose their tanned skin.

The story itself is... okay, I guess. It's not very special, pretty standard shoujo isekai stuff. I couldn't finish it honestly I got about halfway through. Frankly the whole deal with the main character is pretty bad though. Treating dark skin as some kind of curse and story feature void of any historical or cultural meaning like this manga does feels awful. Easily the worst way to force some kind of stigma on your MC so that they can be oppressed and become the underdog. Even manga where the protagonist is shunned for their eye or hair colour is better, and those are already pretty contrived.

It's nothing special. The MC is good, but the conflicts are cookie cutter and side characters are very one note, like the ML's only trait being that he's a good person. Thrilling.

"Your gift for saving the country is becoming white!" Fuck off. I guess they wanted to show how shallow her family was, suddenly treating nice now she's white, but this is such a braindead way of doing it. Apparently the LN is even worse, and she accepts her parents who have treated her like shit her whole life.
I'm not someone who usually gets offended, but i had to laugh my arse off at the sheer audacity of this. Now that they've abandoned the change, I don't think the story even makes sense anymore.... Last updated on April 29th, 2021, 3:20am
Rarely do we get a dark skin protagonist. Her colouring is not from race, but from a chance at birth to be blessed by the Dark King apparently. I like how it's turning out, and how the MC of the original story was also reincarnated
