Likeable cast. Interesting enough world. Boring villains.

The characters and the world are interesting from start to finish where you feel like everyone has enough of a personality and the world seems to have more going on than is immediately obvious too.

The only truly boring and generic characters are the villains. In both volumes the villain is the least interesting part by far BUT thankfully we don't spend too much time on them either so it didn't bother me THAT much.

The second big issue is that there is no way the story was written to end where it did. This is less of a problem in the first volume but during the second one it definitely feels like we're skipping over a lot. There are sooo many things that have been set up that do not get resolved ...

Both volumes look great and the art is solid from start to finish, especially the action scenes.

it's not the worst setup or world, but the execution is consistently disappointing. I finished it because i'm generally a completionist, but i mostly wish i hadn't because every time i think about this story i'm sad it wasn't pulled off better.

It a pretty good read if your looking for a short but entertaining manga with a pretty smart main character and a cute cat. People say the pacing is too fast but I didn't notice it soooo.
*but I also heared the story declines in the webnovel and the MC becomes dumb and generic(¡-¡).

Plot is cliche and pacing is horrible. Don't know if it's the scanlators or the publishers but man if this is yet another monthly release manga I say stay away from this tosh.

EDIT: Aaaaand what a steaming turd of an ending. Wowee this mangaka should just quit and be a janitor or something. He seems used to dealing with shit.

Some questionable writing, everything feels rushed

This deserves praise for the unique world that the story is set in, it's definitely its own thing, and the author has their own style.

On the other hand, this does a mediocre job of introducing that world to the reader: it rushes things and, as a result, fails to create adequate suspense.

The author also rushes through plot threads, literally wrapping one of them up in a page or two (literally, in an aside, the MC recalls that he walked into somewhere, shot something, and the problem was solved).

The social interactions and relationships are pretty rushed too; this is one of those works where people have a single conversation and then the next day, they're acting like they've known each-other for months.

If it wasn't so rushed, this could be a very good work, but as it is, it's only average, maybe slightly above average if you appreciate the setting.

With how rushed this is, it feels like it's a mediocre adaptation of a really good novel or something.

Despite my criticism above, this is still above average, and I'm still going to read it. If you like fantasy, I recommend giving it a try.
