This manga is, to me, a published equivalent of all those fanfics I read when I was 12-14. You know the ones. The ones where us writers and readers didn't understand how relationships really worked and we thought that a jackass could be a jackass as long as he was cute and things like sexual harassment and attempted rape weren't as traumatizing as they actually were. We were ignorant kids back then, we didn't really know until we grew up how absolutely embarrassing our works were back then.

But this. This is a manga that was penned by a grown-ass woman who should know better. Perhaps this is the Western egalitarian in me, and Japan is kind of skewed in how it blurs feminism and shameless escapist fantasies, but my God. This comic is bad.

Its characters are bad. The female lead is a dunce and way too forgiving. The male lead Renge Kai, is a fucking ASSHOLE. An absolute asshole with no redeeming qualities. Absolutely none. If your very first introduction as a romantic lead is you mistreating the wait staff (who is ALSO the female lead!!) how the hell am I going to respect you from then on out?

The art is also terrible. The mangaka has no idea how fingers work, how body proportions work, how any of that shit WORKS. The art is so consistently bad that I actually screencap different panels and send them to my friends so we can talk about how laughably horrible the author's art skills are. Truly horrendous.

The smut also ain't that great, mostly because I find the male lead to be a bastard that needs to be kicked in the balls. There is nothing positive about this manga, and IF you actually LIKE this manga, I weep for you. I truly do. There are manga out there that are above and beyond better than this in every category--art, characters, tone, plot progression... Don't settle for this. Don't ever settle for something worse than mediocre.

It's really really bad, the plot it's just so damn cliché this girl is so freaking annoying doesn't have pride she even doesn't know the meaning. Ugh. This kai guy is really an stupid prick but she let him be that way, she's so damn desperate to be love is just absurd makes me mad.

i really think i read this before...i dont know whyyy it's not in my complete list...but anyways i enjoyed it, though it really was dang all 'it all only can only happen in fiction', i still loved it and anticipated for every upcoming chapter.

Anyways, i thoroughly enjoyed wasting my time just reading this. Actually, i think i kind like every work of this mangaka. Cause you know, her style of drawing of men, too beautiful~ and sometimes the women have their beautiful moments, but not all the time like the men T-T i wish it was...

Personally, I couldn't really get past the first 10 chapters. There was close to no plot, really annoying characters, zero continuity and quite a bit of unpleasant sexual assault - both glorified and unglorified. And every bit of sex that I read was done pretty damn terribly.

and nobody ever does anything about the guy. Not even a punch ?
It's manga not a Nobel prize winning literary work but some sort of plot would have been nice instead of the steady I am horny for you I am gonna do you and he is my idol so im gonna f you so you are not his anymore.
Seriously. This is the whole plot of 3/4 of the manga. I just couldn't stomach reading the rest anymore.

At least is something that didn't stop me from reading till the end, i thought it was going to be worse, for real.
The main male lead turned out to be way better than expected. Unlike love celeb, Kai was very thrustful to his feelings till the very end.
Were there ridiculous moments, unreasonable things, hateful situations? Hell Yeah, but come on! It's shoujo AND smut. There are a bunch of things i could complain about(like how the mangaka really wanted bad guys in the story and made them good guys after doing unforgivable things, or way too much drama over silly things, etc.) but keeping that in mind, it was still sweet, funny and a nice read, also i liked the art.
It wasn't as bad as some people make it sound to be.

When I read the description and first few chapters it looked promising.  Don't expect the plot to be great, it has it own little twists and turns, but it is repetitive. (I think that's why some people say it's empty). I love some of the funny and lovey dovey scenes, but I especially love the last chapter.

Yuzu the female protagonist can be annoying because she cries a lot. Kai, male character is a pervert. Yuzu's parent (esp. Her mom) can easily be bought with money (which pisses me off). Yurioka  has a twisted obsession with Kai, but can be funny at times.

Overall, i like this manga, but not really a big fan of it. I'll recommend it to people who like smut since its sex scenes are hot (and there is a lot), but don't really have a lot of expectation regarding it's plot. 

I did liked it but the problem I had was the sex, Kai being a pervert and Yuzuru's parents being a little crazy in the head with money all the time. Also, I am glad that some schools are not like this because if I had to be someone's honey I would have made them fail.... -.- I have some problems with doing my own homework and someone excepts me to do theirs oh no way in freaking hell people.

Also, for the drama it was like how do I put this... kinda of like a TV show, like All My Children or something like that. Yes, I understand you have some plot twists and love plot things but... still...

Ok so this series piss me off. I mean what the hell is wrong with the frigging parents?! They are so frigging fickle. like gosh. but I like the story though it annoys me. There shouldn't be so many damn interruptions. I know that not everything can be smooth sailing, but dammit. Sigh
Love the story. The characters are great, though some are annoying and have no sense at all. The art annoyed me in the beginning (why the hell are the girls eyes so big? not cute at all!!) but I got used to it and its not bad. Go. Read Now.

I will not restate how brainless the girl is and what a sex-maniac the guy is. It’s already been said here before, and I have nothing to add to it.
I just need to understand one thing before I forget this manga completely.
1. Yuzuru was 15 when she became the honey (cos they’ve thrown her a great sweet 16 party sometimes afterwards)
2. At the end she says “I have to remove this earring I’ve been wearing for 6.5 years", and then both master and honey graduate.
3. This makes her 21 years old. Do you graduate from high school in Japan at 21? (I was 23 when I graduated from University.) Or is their school a special one?
I’d really appreciate it if someone explained this to me.
