At the beginning their hardships and the age gap were actually handled well but after volume 2 it's just plain old shoujo tropes and the age gap doesn't even play a huge factor anymore, which makes both of the protagonists unlikeable, plus the lack of side-charcaters makes them look even more self-centered without caring about the consequences of their relationship.

I typically skip on age gap relationships (especially if one of the leads is still in high school), but I took a chance because I'm a big fan of the mangaka. I love everyone's relationships with each other (so loving, even platonically!). So far, nothing feels forced and they are actually communicating with each other. Can't wait to see what happens!
