This was a very nice melodrama and a promising May-December romance. But NO. There was a twist on the latter.
Evie seemed to have all the hottest guys, i.e. her stepmother's first crush and first man. She could have ended up with one of them. That was what I had anticipated, but the romantic relationships didn't always go the right way. Vanilla sex followed by rapes; both mother and daughter. What a shock and a pity!
However, not to my liking, the story ended well as it should've been. The breaking heart could be healed. People usually did make amends after all.

A very good read with both plot and smut.
it’s been a while since i last made a review so i’m just going to hastily wrote out my thoughts as they come unedited. heavy tw for rape and sa.
- wanted to a short sweet smut story, did not get that despite it only being 70 ch. fl only ends up with the “true” ml at the very last ch if y’all r looking for what i did.
- nuanced coming of age story, ending narration was poignant. but the journey to get there was just needless traumadumping with no playoff. the commentary on sexual assault was also extremely poorly done and came off as justifying abusers under the guise of grief. “forgive to be the bigger man” my ass.
- imo, this is a smut story that tried to turn itself into smth more. like obviously that’s most smuts but this one was just esp disappointing bc there could’ve been this journey of self discovery as she understands what it is to be an adult, talking about how older men prey on younger women, abt the grief she felt, sm. but no it’s dramatic and drags out for no purpose. also very confusing character development wise.
overall: has more thought than typical smuts but 4/10 i would really not waste 2 hours to read it.
