Indeed these short stories aren't perfect, but they are definitely different. The endings are varied and don't always take the typical shoujo-road. The art wasn't my cup of tea, and it isn't a style I'd normally put together with this type of manga.

Everything taken into consideration, I actually fairly enjoyed these stories. I liked the first and the second story the best.

...but it just left me wanting more. I wanted to find out what would happen to Akane in the end. It just kind of felt incomplete to me. Nonetheless, it was still my favourite out of all of them.

The story is very serious and the characters all have their reasons why they want to do it, but it shows the immaturity that teens have while thinking they want to end it all rather than being strong and dealing with the life that was dealt to them. I don't like the flippant way that the kids talk about dying, but we are growing up so desensitized to death that I see many teens talk about wanting to end it just to make the people around them suffer, just like some of these characters.

Each story is a little troubling, so don't read if you like happy endings.

I don't like this. The stories are about a very serious issue, but the way the characters are portrayed---I don't believe this at all.

The only character I could believe in, a little, was Yuki-chan. It was the only one that seemed a little more plausible.

All in all, this is NOT the manga I would recommend if you're interested in mangas about suicide. It's not cleverly done, and the characters are barely characters at all. If anything, I'd recommend [manga]X-Day[/manga] by Setona Mizushiro. It's similar, but executed in a much more convincing manner.
