Description
Mana and Kenji, twin sister and brother, found a star as little children. On a far off world, their star is called the Talshas, meaning 'Stone of Wind and Gods', and it will grant the wishes of one person for as long as they live. And though it has lain quiet for 10 years, that is swiftly changing. The twins' lives are rocked by tragedies and miracles, chance meetings that are not as innocent as they seem, and trust forged and broken as a war between two distant planets descends around them. And ultimately, the only real wishes are the ones made for the sake of another.

This is a manga based on a novel. Yes, an actual novel, not even a light novel. So, there is a lot (and I mean a lot) contained in one volume.
Personally, I loved it.
I think it's absolutely amazing how Funato Akari managed to squeeze in a novel's work of plot into one volume, all the while not detracting from the storytelling in the least. In fact, I found this manga better and better upon each rereading. Every time I open this manga up, I find something new I didn't see before, and that is precisely why I like Funato Akari. Her art speaks for itself: the characters, their struggles, all are present within the lines she draws. And, I honestly don't know how it happened, but I managed to fall in love with all the characters in just a matter of chapters.
Simply put, Hoshi no Sabaku is not a manga for everyone. It's also not a manga for just one read. Upon rereading, one will often find little things here and there that they haven't noticed before... some foreshadowing, some emotion, some beauty.
Honestly speaking, I'm not sure who exactly this manga's target audience is. What I am sure of is that I find this manga stunning and beautiful, and I cherish it with all my heart.

Though it seemed many of the concepts had some promise and was quite interesting, the plot so far is a bit too garbled and random for my liking. The sci-fi part was just randomly shoved in and the writing only got even more incoherent. The art isn't too bad though. I stopped at around 130 pages in.

I was confused the entire time while reading it.
What I did understand I found it to be okay/good.

Spoiler (highlight to view)
The twins thing was so obvious that even I could see it coming. And I'm notorious for not noticing the obvious.
