To be honest, the scenario initially presented in the first 20 or so chapters were intriguing but ultimately failed to keep my attention. Few BL are set in small towns where small town politics are discussed, which is one of the main draws of this series. As characters, Sam and Noah have some depth but never really show any other sides of their personality besides the heroic savior and the imprisoned beauty tropes. This is not a series to read for sex scenes either, as there is (iirc) three scenes that each last about three episodes each. The initial draw for Sam is Noah's myserious charm, but that is only believable for the first sex scene. There after, following scenes showing Sam chasing after Noah felt unmotivating. After a certain point, I started skipping all romantic scenes just to know the mysery behind Noah's essential slavery and how Sam would go against the controllers of the countryside town's dark underside.

One thing of note is that even though the art is rather standard of Korean BL manhwa with the stock character designs, the color grading and majority of the series occurring at night helped set the mystery mood excellently.

Would give it a 10, but i feel it was missing something, just don't know what
