I went into this novel almost completely blind and didn't regret a single second of it. The story was absolutely intriguing and kept me hooked, wanting to keep reading. It isn't very long, so I finished it within a few hours, but they were hours well spent. I never felt bored or disinterested, never did I roll my eyes at anything that happened. The emotions were raw and I felt sympathy for both of the main characters throughout. Along with the story, the artwork was very nice and only added to the already amazing atmosphere.

A few warnings for those who can't handle dark content. There are some heavy subjects, depictions of rape, violence, and incest as well as mentions of childhood trauma. If you don't like any of those topics, this story was not made for you, but if you enjoy these types of stories, I highly recommend it.
