I never finished Beelzebub so I can't judge Ryuhei Tamura's overall performance, except his previous work titled Hungry Marie that completely turned me off in the end.

Hard-boiled Cop and Dolphin, on the other hand, is found to be acceptable. I personally love most of the fun part but it's stupidly following its predecessor in mixing both comedy and serious plot. Only the whole idea about sea gangs, curses, or whatever it is that baffled me. I don't wish for a surprise. Why it's so necessary to make it dramatic when the slice of life alone has the potential? Although the good news is, it's not completely destroy the whole thing. This manga has good environments to begin with, I can't deny it. The fine art kiss up for the experience. Some logics and ideas behind the story are interesting. I also can tell much the author has good sense of jokes (I'm not up for boobs service so fortunately he has more to offer). The so-called hard-boiled cop but actually a monstorous yankee, the dolphin (?!), and the revelation kid. I like this combo. Noisy kids in every manga always adds the fun. I don't mention it but the rest of the characters are okay.

The development is not that level critical so far—still, got too see some decent stunt moves. I actually hope it's short lived. Or typical put a break in-between. My heart already belongs to their daily fun cases, really. The worst scenario lies on thinking how the occult matters solved. I hate it for good if it's getting weirder (in a bad way).
