Description
The bullied girl in class Sakura Rin and the honor student who doesn't want to make any waves, Komine Yuuya, were classmates and haven't once exchanged words with each other. Everything between them changes when Yuuya goes with the flow around him and tells her to go die. Rin jumps from the classroom window. She escapes death and claims that it was Yuuya's fault. The bewildered Yuuya tells Rin that he'll do anything as he begs for forgiveness. Rin tells him that what she wishes for is love.

It's a pity it got canceled

The story is good and interesting, and for a rushed ending it was pretty okay, I can only think of a single 'cliffhanger' and it wasn't really that much of a cliffhanger at all. Ever sisnce I started reading this I suspected it would get canceled and I hoped I was wrong but meh, shit happens.

The manga got axed because it sold poorly.

However, it was an amazing effort from the author to wrap the story up quickly and effectively. So don't hesitate to pick it up. It's only 3 volumes: short, succinct, full of interesting psychological ideas, aspects, character developments, and story-telling that are not bottled up like other very melodramatic mangas. (Seriously, think about bullying, harassments, sexual abuses, and the worst the never-ending tragedies you have read.)

At the end, it is forthright, positive and promising. The messages of self love, the love and care from those around who truly love and care for you, and communication are focused.

It's truly a shame that this got cancelled because of sale performance. And it (and the capable Be Blues Project) speak(s) volume about what readers can do, or the potential difficulties the author and the publisher faced. (Great ending notes from Be Blues Project. Thank you guys for having finished this quality project qualitatively!)

Still, I am very, very hopeful for the author ('s future) and really recommend this series.

it's a real shame this was canceled, the character development is decent and the exploration of bullying pretty interesting. when reading it I wasn't aware it had been canceled, although i did think things wrapped up a little quickly it's not as abrupt and jarring as many other dropped series. it's too bad the dynamics that were building couldn't have been played out more, but it was a satisfying and thought provoking read.

Could have been much more but still a nice short read.

The lovers are in abyss is a nice, fun psychological read, which obviously doesn't go to extreme lengths as some are thinking it will. The female lead's actions are seemed to be very irrational and absurd but you'll understand her actions in the later chapters. Don't stop it in the mid-way because the story gets interesting and very understandable in the 2nd half of the story. The manga sadly was axed in 28 chapters. It doesn't end on a cliffhanger though. There are many things that could have been told but it was a pretty good read for 28 chapters. It's more of a romance drama than psychological.

Messed up

As the categories indicate, this manga has a really messed up situation, very messed up. Nevertheless, i'm enjoying the drama and i don't dislike the MCs. Strangly everything that happens has this smooth kind of feel (even tho it's messed up) that i hardly find in other drama mangas, it feels refreshing in some way. Which also makes it scary thinking that it can change at any moment.
