This manga was a slog to get through, but after chapter 19, i found myself enjoying it. Every characters started to become mroe fleshed out and have more personality xompared to being just one note. Heck it was going really well
Then chapter 128 happened...
Now do not get me wrong, the chapter does not ruin the whole manga. In fact, i would believe that other readers would actually enjoy chapter 128 and such. However for me, i just cringed at it, what made the manga so different from the rest quickly becomes obsolete and it reverts to the standard isekai idea. The following chapters are also as cringe as they use the
Regaedless, this manga was a good read, mych better than I had anticipated. It had its hurtle in the beginning which was ok, but it was worhth it. The chapter 128 can either make people still enjoy the manga, or make them enjoy it considerably less, which for me was the latter.

trope. Lastly, there is no conclusive romanceable partner. I am gonna spoile what I mean Spoiler (mouse over to view)
after a wedding between 2 people that mc knew, he is given the bouquet of flowers. He then walks up to a group of girls and gives the flowers to one of them, however we do not see who got the flowers.

It's an okay series, for once it's not a goddamn isekai, the magic system the author chose is fun too, the characters are overbearing but reasonably interesting. MC is not dumb as rocks or rigid minded as your average MC. All in all, it deserves a rating somewhere in between 5 and 10 depending on your personal preferences.
What's bad is that after chapter 40 a different scanlator picked the series up and is absolutely ruining the series with incredibly crap translation and weird, bad looking fonts.
Now that the anime is out, maybe the manga is getting some love and someone will redo chapters 41-44, or everyone who wants to know more about the story can wait for the manga volumes to release in their respective country.

This is basically a Japanese shounen story with an OP MC that is supposedly and ex veteran, but almost none of his actions actually reflect any of that.

Generic Edge Isekai. Supposedly portrays ptsd decently well, but you'd have to get past the first chapter. ¯\_(ツ)_/¯
