This is a story without an ending, and will always be without an ending. Understandably readers in the original language are upset and angry, that they have invested time and money in a story that the writers abandon little more than a notice saying "imagine your own ending".
It's somewhat more believable that despite being unfinished, and knowing it will stay that way, they've since licenced it to be translated and released in English.
