Season 1 is okayish but it should have stopped there. Nothing more is going to develop afterwards, I'm afraid.
Overall the series so far is ok but not that good. The art is ok but underwhelming, the pitch is fun but lacks drive, the comedy is lacking....

The smut is just... there, but it won't be the driving force for you wanting to read this title. It's got a surprisingly good and entertaining story after it departed from the trope-ridden synopsis. It's now plot-heavy and plot-focused, and could get pretty emotional at some points. The romance is still there, but it, and the MC and his love interest, takes a backseat to let the story unfold.

It helps a lot that the side characters are genuinely likeable, from Satoru's daughter to his personal aide to the capture targets that slowly appear as the story progress. They each expand on the story driven by their own motivations that are outside of "be interested in the MC". His daughter and the prince are a highlight.

I was hunting for a proper Isekai yaoi, and I found an isekai yaoi. It’s a darn great one too. The story is fascinating, the smut is great, and the characters are engaging. The actual villain for the story was a great twist and trope subversion as well. Actually, there’s a lot of trope subversions here. I won’t spoil it, but I highly recommend reading it for yourself. The twists are actually surprising, even if someone well versed in these kinds of stories will figure them out eventually. Also the CONTINUITY. I swear this series doesn’t forget anything they started with. There’s only like, two unanswered questions by the end of the series.

Also, the smut is pretty heavily consensual in this, especially compared to the genre as a whole. And especially considering it has the f*ck or die trope in it. The romances develop in a believable manor, and despite a time skip in the series, we thankfully never see anything inappropriate with the characters that started the series as children. Also this series does end with a polycule, and not the one you think!

And this isn’t a “The sex was so good I turned gay.” Story. It’s a “Wait, I’m gay?! No wonder all my relationships with women were awkward and ended badly. How did it take me to 45 to realize this?!” Story. Which is honestly amazing. In real life, a surprising number of people have a sexual realization late in life, especially if the society they were raised in is prejudiced against their sexuality. The fact this character portrayed those feelings semi realistically was honestly amazing.

Overall it’s a great series that I picked the perfect time to binge, because it just ended. I seriously recommend it.
