The story really sort of cuts around and gives the feeling of missing chapters. Characters aren't really flushed out, explanations are skipped, all in all it's not the easiest to follow. It's also a slightly generic story of a "wise, all powerful soul taking the spirit power of a user." Sort of like Battle Through The Heavens, but ... not quite as well done (which says a lot).
There also isn't much in the way of "pills" or "alchemy" in it. The fights don't make much sense, power system seems to be illogical, user tends to just absorb raw materials and makes pills off screen, but we have no comparison for their worth/effectiveness/function.
The art is certainly good, though. I like the main character's design.
The translation, I generally ignore it because it's not part of the story, but I have to mention it before anyone grabs it. It's not just MT, it's almost like it was fed into Google from Chinese to English, then put back in as English to Chinese, and put back in again to get back to English. It's really bad, so unless you REALLY want a super-generic and rushed story, there is nothing really redeeming about this which is sad.
