Yes, I initially did not want to continue this story due to bullshit things happening conveniently at the beginning. However, by reading all the way, things slowly makes more sense (even if it is still convenient) and the characters are not too stale.
My only issue is... I needed more Aileen lol she's so adorable, I feel so bad for thinking she might be two faced at the beginning!

I've made an unprofessional and foolish mistake by not even glancing at reviews of this beforehand. Imagine the shock I was in when I reached that moment in the third chapter. I'm still speechless by this. Below is my spoilerish rant after reading 24 chapters. Afterwards I simply wasn't able to continue wasting my time on this thing and dropped it.

The only reason I didn't give it 1 but 2 is that I found the art unique and memorable. Even if it wasn't perfect, it's still easy to distinguish amongst endless copies of brainless otome isekai there.

Dont read it, not worth the time...

Forget all these other reviewers. Most of them are rating this series low because it has a MC who was bullied for being obese and unattractive and then loss weight, and that triggers them like crazy.

Also, the story isn't even fat shaming. Its about a girl with an eating disorder who was bullied by bad people for being overweight, and eventually used magic to slim down post isekai. The story isnt saying thats a bad thing on its own. All these reviewers getting triggered by it are internalizing and projecting their own anxieties onto the storyline which aren't based at all.

In fact, the MC even describes her overweight appearence as charming and endearing when she looks at herself in the mirror. Its literally the opposite of fat shaming. So these low score reviews are embarassing and cringe to read. Seriously, stop projecting your own insecurities onto the stories you read. 😒

Also, the bullies in the story (who were fat shaming) get whats coming to them. Thats satisfying.

So I'm writing a review thats actually honest and untriggered to set the record straight on this series, which is one of the best web-comics in its genre, hands down.

All of these web-comic isekai's are full of cliches and tropes. That defines the genre. And, overpowered characters are a genre of their own. Calling her a Mary Sue for being over-powered is just bad reviewing. If you dont like it, dont read it. This story at least makes it exciting. Thank goodness for that.

The art is also a major gripe in most of these negative reviews. They mostly complain about "playboy figures" and unrealistic proportions. Honestly, theres a lot of series that do that to such an extent that I'd consider it the norm. But this series has beautiful art and Sylvia's figure isn't that unrealistic. She's built tall and slim with relatively normal proportions for the tall body type. And her breasts and her butt are relatively average sized for her height, so the playboy reference from the one review is absolutely absurd. I'd consider her reasonably well proportioned for a tall woman. For reference, very few series have tall females in them. They usually depict women with dainty-petite builds and average to short heights. So this series is a breath of fresh air. In fact, its the only series I've ever read that has a Female Lead who is 5 10" to 6' 0" in height. Tall women are so under-represented in web-comics that I'm glad theres at least this one for those of us who appreciate that.

The people talking about alien faces are the other half of the art complaints. I love the faces in this series. Its a fresh take on the shojo art style that isnt a copy of every other webcomic face out there. Thank goodness we have an artist who does something new style wise. I thought the faces were beautifully done. 😍

Sylvia Atlante is also a refreshing take on regresser type isekai characters. And the story has lots of action and adventure to keep her character fresh. In fact, the adventure in this story is easily better than everything else out there in this genre. I'm glad she isn't a dithering boy crazy heroine who has nothing interesting going for her other than the male lead, which is the problem with most shojo romances in web comics.

This story also has THE BEST side characters. Aileen, the younger sister is so endearing. And she doesn't come across as one-dimensional. She's just the embodiment of the benevolent heroine archetype. I am so happy every time I see her cuteness show up. But she has a lot of depth in her portrayal, regarding her sister (the MC) and her own insecurities.

The male leads are all interesting and two dimensional. And the FL doesn't spend every chapter lusting and whining over them like every other comic out there. She does however get a lot of character development in with them and its believably done. Thank goodness. I'm glad she is a self-made woman who is powerful on her own and the men in her life just add to that.

The mother is also a nice add-in late in the story as well. No spoilers.

The end game of this series is so 🔥 too. You'll be riveted in your seat for the whole thing, and every cliff hanger will have you screaming. lol.

I'm going to be honest. This series has a lot of wish fulfillment. But real life sucks and is boringly realistic, and wish fulfillment is what most of us came here for. The reviews on here that are on blast for that is completely ridiculous. Go watch some reality television if you want drama and angst. I'm glad this series does the wish-fulfillment so well. I love this series, I love the world its set in, I love the main character and her family and I love the author for writing it.

Go read it. It's on Tappytoons.

Holy cats but this gets embarrassing to read. It’s such a kitchen sink of Mary Sue wish fulfillment nonsense. The MC wakes up in a new body that is overweight and meditates herself into a six-foot tall rail thin hottie in LESS THAN A DAY. She learns magic and instantly summons the most powerful spirit the world has ever seen. She picks up a bow and now she is the kingdom’s finest warrior and saves everyone and wins the war. She studies for a week and gets the highest score ever recorded on the academy exams.

And then there’s the wild, ADHD, throw everything at the story and follow up with none of it…. Can’t decide if the fashion in your fantasy world is ginormous Scarlet O’Hara crinoline hoop skirts or ren-faire velvet gowns or 80s sequined prom dresses or 1990s Vegas hooker in teeny hot pants and garter belts? Do it all! Can’t pick out only a few ML cliches for your harem? Why make choices or write new stuff? Grab yourself a devoted escort knight AND a sly and mysterious prince with an evil step-mom empress AND a genius aspie magician AND an immortal sexy vampire-lite spirit AND an approachable lesbian bestie! Should your MC be a regressor who has already lived the future or a transmogrifier who can see your fantasy world with modern eyes? Why not both!? Want them to have a school arc? Don’t bother! They can go to school for a day and then never mention it again. Want them to start a business? They can do that for an episode, and then it can just get dropped so you can do the next thing.

Oh, and the anatomy problems people mention are very real. I think it’s because the author only knows how to draw female characters in 3/4 view from behind with their backs arched and their butts thrust out, but then you have to twist the top part around so they can draw the boobies. Stop tracing from your dad’s playboys!

I wonder what this author wrote after they matured and turned fifteen…

The art is difficult to get used to, that’s for sure. It’s like the artist learned how to draw details really well but doesn’t have a clue when it comes to basic anatomy or something.
Besides that nothing’s straight out bad but nothing’s good either.

The female lead has *extreme* “everything just works out for her”-ness so the story’s pretty boring and unrealistic too.

My standards aren’t that high for what I’ll read so if this had pretty art I would continue with it, but between just cringing at the art and well no reason whatsoever to continue otherwise, I’m dropping this at ch. 15.

The art is different, but you get used to it, but the storytelling is pretty lacking. Your usual Mary Sue MC with the same personality you've seen a thousand times, but at least some plot points are unique to this series. I did find it pretty funny when and the author presents it like it's a saintly, never before thought of act.

Another cliche. Cliches can be done well if the characters have depth, but just like every other cliche, the characters are flat and it makes the story even dumber.
Plot: "ugly" fat girl is being bullied and so she becomes miserable and drags everyone down, but "smart" and "strong" MC transmigrates to this world and loses weight in an unrealistic manner and gains honour for herself.
Storyline: The most cliche stuff ever, become pretty, save the sad bois, do OP stuff and have men call her "iNtErEsTing" and fall in love with her. That's it.
Characters: With such a cliche plot, characters can make or break the story, but all it does is to break it. MC is strong in her own right, but honestly it often comes off as arrogance that makes the reader somewhat annoyed. All the men involved are also so dull and boring it's not even funny.
Art: The art is bad. Individually, the clothing and flowers and decorations and colours are all gorgeous. However, the characters are all anatomically wrong. This is not a matter of "art style", it's an obvious problem with the anatomy in terms of how the torso and legs are drawn. All the eyes are also drawn too far apart, which makes them look somewhat like aliens. I think only the spirit king is the most decently drawn.
Hence, I can only give it a MAXIMUM of 5/10 even if I was beaten, because it's not the most bullshit thing I've ever read. Read it if you want to waste time.
