It is well written, well done and well worked. The reason for the low average grade is due to the controversial topic. But the author is very good.

I found the sudden attraction from the female lead hard to believe, If I am honest. Something about the first few chapters makes it hard to believe her feelings aren’t forced. If it makes any sense, she feels like a character created solely for the male lead at the start. Only in the later chapters does she feel more fleshed out.

The art is lovely and if you’re into this trope, dive right in! It’s dramatic and cliche at times but still fun to read. I love the other characters reactions as well.

Especially the last few chapters.

The topic is already alienating. But then add a healthy dollop of poor execution and you get this.

I still have no clue what the point of Zenimaru Eri is, either. But hey, no point in explaining her quirks when there's plenty of manufactured drama to get into.

The author doesn't take the drama very seriously. If something dramatic happens it tends to immediately be followed by comic relief instead of allowing the scene to end on an emotional note. If it didn't have this one, big issue, it'd probably be a 10/10.

Incest is one of my favorite tropes in romance, so it was truly disheartening to see it done in such a lackluster manner. The characters are flat and completely uninteresting. The story beats are random and it's very rare that a story beat or conflict truly lands. It's like the author had a checklist as their outline to every possible way he could milk the ~potential conflicts~ in an incest story and then proceeded to stuff one after the other to keep it going.

Even though it doesn't bother me that they referenced pretty directly everything that could be considered wrong with incest (and the typical "why is it wrong"?) instead of going on a more abstract and 'show, don't tell' manner, the fact that not a single other emotional apect of this story worked doesn't help or support it at all.

The only kudos I can give him is for not making Hitomi a bashful and timid girl when it comes to sex (because I am well and truly tired of that trope), having a filmmaking subplot (which is a subject dear to my heart) and making me feel for Hitomi and her mom.

Overall – and I am saying this with a straight face – even AkiSora is a better written incest story than this.
