I swear the first story was progressing really good AND RAPE HAPPENED. So yea, way to get things downhill. Second story sucked, again.

I don't like how half-hearted the ukes are in the first three chapters. So lemme tell you the process of the story.
Seme and uke secretly loves eo → Uke triggered seme → Seme gets mad/triggered & rapes/forces himself to uke → Uke explains everything → Seme explains everything is a misunderstanding → uke accepts and lets seme do whatever. This is not necessarily in order tho lol
Chapter 4 was great lol.
Chap 5, again, was rape.

I don't understand why this has so many high ratings... it's not the worst thing i've ever read but it doesn't even come close to being good. It's not even that funny despite being classed as a comedy.
All of the relationships seemed incredibly shallow and none of the characters were even remotely likeable. -- With the exception of the grandfather from the first 3 stories, I thought he was quite entertaining at times but he played such a minor role that it hardly counts.
The main reason I disliked this is probably because of all the non-con. Rape isn't one of my kinks like it is for some readers, but I don't condemn a manga just because it contains it, as long as it's dealt with well. In fact i've read a lot of non-con BL that is actually good and handles the issue properly, but this just doesn't. I think that if rape really needs to be included in a story then the aftermath at least should be more realistic, otherwise it makes it seem like it's not such a big deal as long as the victim forgives the attacker for doing it out of "love" or "jealousy".
Anyway, that aside, I still couldn't like any of the stories. Especially the first 3 chapters because
Spoiler (mouse over to view)
Chapter 1: After being wrongly accused then raped by the seme, the uke takes the money and time passes. Then one day he goes home to find the seme waiting for him and after a flimsy excuse (he does say he's sorry but then straight after he says it was because he was jealous. That's not an apology, that's just trying to justify it) he then offers more money to the uke, who gladly accepts it and basically says it isn't enough for a lifetime. Yeah I get that was supposed to be sweet and all, but it just made the uke seem greedy even though he apparently loved the seme too. I suppose that part was meant to be funny but...
Chapter 2: The characters didn't annoy me as much as the first couple and I actually started to think it was quite sweet until the uke makes up with the seme right in the middle of being raped. It was the uke's fault that there was even a misunderstanding in the first place, but how can he just go from pleading with the seme to stop, to being all lovey with him? Ughhh.
Chapter 3: Not so much non-con in this, but once again I couldn't see any love between the main characters and just thought the whole thing fell flat. Probably the "funniest" chapter so far, but still disappointing.

I know this is meant to be a light read with a bit of angst mixed in, so that may explain why so many issues are glossed over, but for me it's just far too under developed.
The other oneshots weren't too bad and they were much funnier than the first 3 chapters, but still easily forgettable. So the rating is for the oneshots only.

There's a great mixture of a bit more serious and romantic stories and pure yaoi-comedy!
I find it rare to find a yaoi manga that is good comedy. Often the jokes are either too lame or the
whole thing easily drifts off into being too kinky and weird.

This collection of one shots has some of everything! Something cute, heartwarming but mostly the stories will make you chuckle or even laugh out loud!
They are vaguely connected through the fact that there's 3 brothers (except the last couple stories).

I'd recommend this to anyone who wants to read some funny smut with a good laugh!

The thing is... the sex and the stories surrounding the sex are so strangely disconnected for me. Is it just me? The stories are interesting, cute, funny, and I actually love the different characters. You have this whole story surrounding the sex scene that draws you in and gives you this sweet feeling of adoration between the characters, but then you get to the sex and it's like this rape scene that gives you a bitter taste in your mouth. But then you move beyond the noncon, sometimes seconds later, and everything is okay. And it feels like the unwillingness and pain of the ukes isn't even real - I mean, the characters who protest so loudly certainly don't seem bothered by it after the fact. I know noncon is used often in yaoi, but not quite like this. I just don't think it fit. And the turtle story... well that was something else entirely. Strange, yet funny.

I didn't really care for the main three, connected stories. They were pretty typical and loaded with rape, which I don't find offensive as much as stupid. The unrelated oneshots were pretty funny though. When it got to "it's because of my feelings!" I lost it. I wish I could rate them separately.

I liked the tie in of a complete universe within the one family. And the turtle short was strangely cute and funny.

The characters were all so likeable! And the humour was light and sweet. There was enough angst and conflict to keep me happily committed to the stories, but not enough to make it supercharged memorable or gut-wrenchingly moving.

Highly recommended for an enjoyable, feel-good read.

I really liked this book. Not all of the stories were equally good, but I liked the first stories and the "Family Reunion" at the end of the book was really funny^^
