The author is trying to do some kind of character development with the antagonists but it ends up being the most bland and blatant attempt to hate farm their characters up for a few chapters instead of developing their character, motivations, personalities, or even powers.
Simple villains can be fun, but not when they take multiple chapters just to show you bad guys doing the exact same bad guy things literally 5 times in a row. This formula ends up over half the screen time and comes off as nothing more than filler between good stuff happening as if the author just wants to buy time between having to advance the plot.

The art is old timey and appropriate for the world it depicts. It is interesting. Basically no one in the story is drawn in an attractive manner, but you can tell which characters are supposed to be attractive and which are "normal looking" and which are ugly. The art doesn't try to tempt you, but to tell a story.

The story itself is pretty unique in that the MC was brought by a difficult life to become a very violent person and this story is ultimately about how he fights with that demon. While he isn't violent to people that do not provoke him unnecessarily, he obviously looks for opportunities to kill. He doesn't enjoy killing, but he probably also can't stop. Think of a soldier that keeps looking for more and more battlefields and shows no interest in life outside of them.

The pace is pretty slow. This is common in such series, but is still an issue. The amount of progress the MC made as a character is pretty miniscule. Similarly, there is a story and it seems quite interesting, but it barely advances. It is fine when you have chapters to read, it isn't like you get very bored, but it could easily take another 5 years for the series to end.

Basically this manhua is just a power fantasy. Once the initial story which is like a long prologue ends, then the format becomes a rinse and repeat of foe shows up, they underestimate or don't see MC, and then they get beaten up, bigger foe doesn't like that, then they get beat up and MC looks like a badass.

Now the reason I still give it an 7/10 is because it's good at what it does. Sometimes you fault the author about how he could just repeat the same thing over and over but honestly it just works. I might be a simple man, but when MC hits a random guy who got introduced this chapter after disrespecting him, it just tickles me in a good way.

The art is rocky but honestly I just find it pretty unique and a good change of pace from having the same cookie cutter art style of some manhwa.

The art is bad, unique, cheap, and weak. Despite all that there has never been such a bada** MC like this. He is the whole reason why this has not been cancelled.

The story is half-decent, the art is not, especially the faces look mostly inhuman.
