Wonderful; Not Your Usual Fluff

If you are looking for a big-doeeyed-innocent fluffy character that just happens to get the seme/uke to fall madly in love with him then walk away. This manga is an absolute gem.
The originality, the atmosphere between the characters and the general setting of the mangaverse, the attention that's given in setting up the atmosphere and the narrative consistency, are all absolutely--wonderful--done.
The best way to sum this up would be how nanner put it, "quirky, fun, and warm" (also add sexy).

This is a really cute manga and I absolutely enjoyed it. Plot wise it's not as amazing as it was pretty generic but character wise it's so good!! I love characters like main chara. Also I thought the art was gonna be the old annoying art style by it was better than expected. I just wished they made the plot deeper. I still recommend this though.

kashiwaya is awesome and so quirky that he's one of my favorite MC. as someone else said, his thinking is sideways, and i love his internal thoughts and imaginings. the conclusions he comes to when trying to figure out why hibinos adams apple is bothering him are interestingly odd. and the first scene with the captain made me snort coke out my nose when i was surprised into laughing.
in a genre saturated with angst and drama this one stands out for it humor and its warm fuzzies.
i was sad when i got to the end, which doesn't happen all that often. i wanted more of kashiwaya and hibino.

I must admit this is a manga that I had decided to read due to the cover art. Do not be fooled by the cover art reminiscent of bad cliché Yaoi; this manga has managed to hit my soft spot and land itself squarely into my favorites list. The characters can come across as a bit bland and feelings and emotions are admittedly not as well developed as I would like, but this is a light, fluffy manga that is read to quickly pass the time and not lay it to waste. Protagonist Kishiwaya is the driving force behind all the interesting (and humorous) scenes that occur within the manga, and his antics are nothing short of ridiculously entertaining. The author does not detail much about their families nor their childhood, but I will eventually come to read this again in the future for a light read that is actually worth the time.

The art is not unpleasant to the eye, but sometimes the proportions of characters' heads are a bit unsettling. This, in fact, is emphasized when starting a new chapter, as the art featured as the cover has extremely huge, alien-esque eyes that had me metaphorically worrying for their well-being. But do not be deterred from reading, I am merely pointing out a minor issue that does not deter at all from an enjoyable manga experience.

It's rare these days to find a good yaoi manga.
The story is original and soooo interesting.
I don't how many times it made my heart skip a beat.
Even though Kashiwaya is a bit quirky, Hibino never fails to understand him.
I believe the synopsis of this manga is not enough to describe how amazing this manga is!!!!!!
A very endearing, innocent and sweet love story that you'd want to read over and over again.
This is one of my favorite manga and I will never ever forget this!!!!

Haha this one manga sure has all it takes to be a great one. It's impossibly hilarious, very weird and silly in a clever way if that makes any sense. The sexual tension is just off the charts, resulting in quite an amount of steam. Overall just adorable without any overwhelming fluff OR intense angst. I must say I was quite impressed. Though the cover art totally doesn't do it justice by any means. What's inside the book is much better.

Like the reviewer below said, Kashiwaya is one of the best ukes I've ever seen... I love his nonchalance, his late reactions, and the fact that he actually enjoys the sex (thank goodness, I'm fed up of the ukes that are always saying "no" even if they don't mean it) and most of all, I love his incredible imagination. I've lost count how many times I've laughed at his weird thoughts, especially involving "the captain" lol.
Hibino is also a lovely seme, and he's pretty incredible really, since he can understand Kashiwaya most of the time!
I especially liked that we got to see parts of the story from both their pov's and the time skip from high school to college was really good too. It's always nice when you can see the relationship still going strong after such a long time.
This is a perfect feel-good manga, no heartache or angst, just lots of comedy and sweet moments. You can really feel the love between these two! I'd definitely recommend this to anyone!

its hard to find a good uke in yaoi, but it think Kashiyawa is the one of the best uke i have ever read. no, he is one of the the best character i have ever come across in manga. such simplicity and naivety, but ever so sexy! he don't come across as stupid like with all other innocent type character, just a bit different. the seme is also good too, they make such a perfect couple. this manga is full of cuteness and sweetness. a good read for any yaoi fan.

Ok I agree that uke was an absolute oddball but to suggest that he is mental (look in categories) is a total exaggeration !
He was cute and weird but not handicapped. I like this story because it is so funny xD

This is a good read and like what others had said, don't be fooled by the book's cover! Although the drawing on the cover isn't nice but it's totally different inside! Not to mention how funny the story is! Especially the uke's reactions and his speech. I can't stop grinning and laugh at his reactions. It's like they're telling jokes with a straight face! It's really a good read and there's no love triangle or what not (somehow I feel relieved!) Give this a try if you haven't!
