Well, while the story progression is slow, each chapter is content deep... its not the best story, but still is good storytelling and the most important of all, a enjoyable read.
And there isn't bitchslapping fest like in most manhua. But the MC have a lot of enemies that wants to destroy his faction and most conflicts stem from this, but only MUCH later, the real reason why his faction is bullied is revealed.
There is a lot of scams and schemings though.
But it takes a LONG time till the MC goes out to fight non-human enemies... most of the current 500+ chapters are him studying and researching martial arts.
