Description
From Tokyopop:
Sato Tatsuhiro is a drug-addled "hikikomori" (a Japanese shut-in) who thinks a sinister organization, NHK (Nihon Hikikomori Kyoukai), is the cause of all his problems! He falls in love with a girl, Misaki, who he thinks is trying to assassinate him, but doesn't know how to talk to her or if he can trust her. The more he stays in his house watching anime porn, reading manga, and doing drugs, the harder it is for him to leave. Only Misaki can keep him from rotting away in his own apartment!

Evil Genius is doing a great job on this title. If you like Genshiken give this a read, anime so far isn't bad either it's up to episode 2 as of yesterday.

between those funny and almost crazy parts there are really touching scenes that show you the cruel reality of being a social outsider.
Things are overdone, as the characters are. But yet a very authentic story.

Story: The story is...weird, but true. All of us here (I believe) know the feeling of just sitting in front of the computer all day long, be it playing MMORPG or watching anime. Some of us do it because we enjoy it (from this idea came Genshiken). Some of us do it to escape the world and from this idea came NHK.

Characters: Yes they are overdone, but that is the point of them. From the over otaku to the angel to the hikikomori. Yet behind these overdone masks there are times when we could see their underlying self. A person who is simply afraid of what other people think of him (god knows I've been in that position a lot). A wise yet twisted person, who seeks to escape, but knew the truth (been there too). A person who rescues others, because they feel that they need to, and actually just wanted to be love (What the heck, I've went trough all of this. Go figures). I'll say excellent character design

Art: Not the best, but good enough so I have nothing to complain about, really...

Favorite moment: When Misaki did Freud's psycho analysis (poor girl). That was Hilarious. -AND- "However depressing or painful... we would still return to this idiotic life."

Edit by mod: SPOILER WARNING

Very funny and well written dramatic comedy. Its the story of a lifeless depressed collage dropout who havnt left his appartement for ages. During the story he has to deal with all the "nolifeproblems" like never leaving the house and being unable to face ppls, getting kinda pedophile, getting into hentai games, falling for a cheap merchendise trick and being left with a huge debt, comitting suicde and not succeeding, losing her old loved sepai to some strange arranged marrige guy even though he and her sempai kind loved each other, getting kinda into drugs, getting addicted to computer games, and so on. He really has to deal with everything and yet the auther created the characters so good and funny and believable that you can think yourself in their positions. Very nice and funny and sometimes sad to read. Drawings are good/decent, sometimes creazy exaggerated but very funny therefore.
