as a weekly shounen jump series, it must be axed due to low rating, that's why its so friggin short. there is a lot of potential here, but well, these short prologue is all we can have.

So extremely cute! A lighthearted storyline, with quirky characters and equally quirky events. The off-the-deep-end characters match the story-line. I liked the art too. I enjoyed reading it.

It started out interesting with great potential, but the series and ending still left a lot open and unexplained (such as how Clay actually created Muddy)--I would have liked to have seen more there...It feels like the beginning of a manga before we get to the main plot more than anything else...I think Muddy and the plot in paticuliar could have more developed--Muddy is cute and innocent (it might have cool if he grew and changed & such though maybe at one part it might hint at it? No, not really) and the plot repeats somewhat (with some variations)...Nevertheless, the series was pretty good (I just wish it went into more depth) with like-able/interesting characters, esp. Clay and some humor...

The concepts of chimera in manga isn't new, it was used to a great extent in FMA for example. The mangaka tried to balance this very dark theme with the cheerful and cute Muddy and in my eyes it was a success. I think it had an interesting start and could have become very interesting but for a shounen manga in WSJ it was just too dark, even if it was mostly latent there was always this feeling of approaching doom...

It's the story of an ex-prodigy chimera scientist named Clay, who is a goofy individual, and the mysterious kid he named Muddy. Comedy, but some serious elements to it. Not 100% sure how it will look in the future, though I have a general idea. Right now Muddy and Clay are the only two real characters. The art is nice, and creative. The story's set in the (probably near) future where chimeras are everywhere, even used by villagers for livestock.
