Interesting, but a tiny little bit over the top.

It's an interesting read you get here, coming up with funny moments and some nicely shown emotions of the characters. Although this caught my attention and made the read this work in one go, it wasn't as good as others by the author. For my taste the setting was at times just over the top and the depth became more or a burden, because the change from "angsty" to "funny" were executed too fast. Even if there was a moment making the reader think about the past, the next page (or sometimes the next panel) just gave a "happy go lucky" blow and took it away in the blink of an eye. Sighs.
However, it's a good read and the storyline is not your usual one. I liked the twists and characters just as much as the old school drawing style. If you don't mind the things mentioned above, then you can try this without hesitation.

Just like most of Yamada's work, this has plenty of comedy and just enough drama. Though I do wish we could get some more of Chino and his situation, both before and after his traumatic experience. And also to see just what happens with him and his "Itaru."
I'm a bit torn.

On the one hand, a lot of it was very witty and funny, and the interactions weren't rote like in so many manga. That part was really fun!
On the other hand, it was... a bit rapey. No, quite rapey. No one actually got raped, but it was a near thing like 20 times. Didn't like that at all...
Oh, and the scanslation work is top notch, by the way!

I love this author! I also read "Boku ni Datte Iibun ga Aru" of hers. Yes, the art style takes a little getting used to, but I didn't notice, 'cuz I got caught up in her story. I find it funny that she had one panel with Takesawa and Tatsuhiko "beautified", but chooses not to draw that way usually. Whatever, it works with her comedic style! I laughed out loud while reading this. It's so funny! xD It's a testament to Yamada-sensei's story-telling skill that even the side character that I want to hate, I feel sad for. I want more story about Chino, dammit!

When I read manga, I usually always skim lightly through the pages, only getting main key points. But when I was reading Warera no mizu wa doko ni aru, I made sure that I got every single detail in every single page, because something about this story sucks you in. I kept rereading some chapters over and over, because I couldn't get enough.
Please read it!

The story is really entertaining and meaningful and the jokes are pretty funny. It isn't rushed like some (most) of the yaoi mangas I have read, and the plot is really interesting + one of the best. I love the two main characters with thier friends!! Yamada Yugi is one of the best mangakas there are and this must be my one of my favourite ever yaoi mangas by her X3.
this is probably one of the best yaoi manga i´ve ever read. The art might be strange at the beginning but the story will definetly get you~!
