That was an enjoyable way to fill in a bit of time, but it's pretty dumb. I wish the hidden mysteries and such had turned out to be as interesting as it was implied - but yeah, 'a big nothing'. It's worth reading, but I doubt I'll remember anything about it in a couple of months.

This manga builds up all this supense and drama and in the end.... it's a big misunderstanding of events to the point of me laughing so hard that i was fooled. Anyway, the story spills in suspense and mystery and tries to let the reader figure out the mystery of what is going on in the manga. It's pretty subjective and the reader can have different secerios in their head on how it's going to end.

I think it was pretty good from begining to end because the ending catches you off guard without warning, at least for me anyway. P.S That teacher with the glasses is scum and deserves to rot in hell:-)

The one thing I can say about this one is that the ending is STUPID! It starts out really interesting and promissing, there are so many twists that the mangaka could have used as the ending, but it turned out to be a big nothing....Really disappointing!
I will give it a 4/10 just for the interesting start...

The problem with this story is that ultimately it relies on the reader's interpretation of events. The last chapter sums up and explains most if not all of the mysteries presented, but in the end makes the reader wonder if the events that occured were objective or relative to the characters experiences. In other words, the questions you have while reading this never get completely answered. For me, even though the series is done, it feels incomplete and I feel a bit disappointed.

It all depends on the end

So far Hohzuki Island has been letting me down. So many mysteries seem to end in bad explanations or are yet unresolved. With every chapter ending in a cliffhanger, it's putting a lot of stress on the finale. The series will succeed or fail on the the strength of reveal because it doesn't have great art or characters. Right now I don't see it delivering but I'll endure and hope for a satisfactory ending.

Edit: Finished. A lot of set up for little pay off. Can't recommend.

This is a decent psychological thriller. The story has a lot of suspense and keeps you entertained. The children's backgrounds help highlight the atmosphere of mistrust and drive the story forward.

However, the story is set up in a way that the mystery of the island should have been revealed halfway through. In order to maintain the mystery and suspense, the events become more and more forced and outrageous. This change is so obvious that you'll likely guess the ending halfway through.

Overall, this is an average suspense story and you can read it if you enjoy psychological thrillers.

This manga has a lot going. A lot of secrets and a lot of characters with hidden agendas. This really makes for a great suspenseful story.

The art simply looks amazing and the characters are drawn very beautifully. Theres a bit of ecchi, but not to the point that it draws away from the excellent story. I really hope a group picks this one up since updates are far and in between.

Booty

This manga should have at least an Ecchi tag as well considering the boobies and booty present... that scrumptious booty.

Anyway, it's taking a while to "get started", though the pacing seems goo enough (despite my own impatience). The art is very clean and high quality, and the action is fluid (insofar as one can consider drawings to contain action)
