Review only for the last Chapter, a one shot

I cannot read stories with teachers and students, so I skipped everything in this complete one volume to focus on the last story. This is one of my favorite short stories ever, and directly falls into my preferred trope of “ex-criminal feels ashamed of his past” and “kind hearted guy doesn’t judge”. It had communication and mutual respect, amazing.

Too short to be enjoyable

Im often astonished about the forceful nature of the start of a relationship in many yaoi stories. You hardly find such aggressive behaviour in hetero mangas. I wanted to drop this one after the first chapter since Homura, the student, quite forced himself up on his teacher and even after reading many yaoi mangas such a relationship beginning still disgusts me. I felt sorry for sensei and the only guy I sympathized with was the sports teacher, an unimportant side character.

It has only 4 chapters + 1 story related extra. The manga ends abruptly. What the..., way too short.
But until then it was okay for one volume. Something to pass time but nothing Id want to re-read or will remember for long. Unlike other works of the mangaka like Himegoto Asobi.

Maybe I'm Spoiled

Maybe I have just spoiled myself by having so many favorite mangas that overlap in certain categories, but this manga just left me... satisfied. It's nothing special in my eyes. The characters are interesting but seem too stereotypical to me. It's a good story but it's not for me.
Edit: Okay, so Homura's bashful face made me raise the rating from a 6 to a 7. He's just too cute. >///<

We all know those typical Student-Teacher mangas... there's so many out there and most of them follow the same type of plot and characters, it gets boring.

This manga however, was a refreshing read, I loved every bit of it!
I adore the characters, the teacher was vulnerable and inexperienced, had worries of his own while trying not to be too irresponsible AND giving in to his feelings. The student was just ADORABLE - the way he acted like a cute puppy despite being the seme - he was just perfect! Caring, loving, considerate!

I enjoyed everything about this manga, which it were longer! If you are into student-teacher then definitely read this! Even if you're usually bored of the usual student-teacher love stories, give it a read if you like positive, cute but still grown-up stories!

one of my top 10 yaoi, just great

This is one of my top 10 yaoi. While reading I thought "damn! there's so much love between them!", it's totally adorable. Characters are enticing, captivating, thinking human beings, there's a plot, a lot of humour, a bit of smut, good sex scenes (well... I prefer more sex but it's ok) and the drawings are awesome, polished. Character's faces are very expressible (it's rare).

Indeed this is about teacher student relationship, but you can't say it's similar to sth just because of this, I mean there's more than 300 yaoi manga with the student-teacher relationship so you can find something similar between all of them, right? Great yaoi.

I remember how I really really loved it, though it may be a sort of fetish on the whole older uke, younger seme, and how it actually portrays the whole difference in mentality when it comes to age. And also looks. Because who am I kidding; when it comes to BL manga, I'm all about superficiality.

I like dark haired teacher's with glasses. >D Yum.

Gunna read again~

I quite liked it

I agree with some of the other reviewers, in that the story itself was average. However, the mangaka managed to take the tired, old, worn out student/teacher romance and turn it into something interesting and new again by creating some interesting characters. The pair and their relationship were well written and engaging. Sakuragi's art is excellent as well. Her faces are particularly expressive. So, I found this book to be entertaining and fun, even if isn't going to win an award for originality.

I Enjoyed this Pink Candy, And I Usually Want Black Black Spice!

That, my friends, is what I call pure, unadulterated story-telling talent! Draw me in and make me love your boat drink when I usually turn up my nose and beg for a sour margarita!

I am really liking this mangaka. I like her humour, her pathos, her quirky illustrations and her likeable, fallible characters.

At only 1 volume, the story is tightly woven and captivating without being disappointing by the time the end rolls up. The conflict is basic: It's simply the student and the teacher who really doubt themselves. Sensei doubts that Homura would love and want him, an 'old man.' He has issues of self-esteem when it comes to relationship, and is quite naive and virginal due to his unexplored homosexuality and social fears. Homura doubts himself, his frightening anger and his ability to be valued and loved in Sensei's eyes as an adult.

The illustrations are worthy of a long stare. Their faces (especially their mouths and eyes) are intriguing. I could look at them for a long time: The lips are elongated and full of emotion with a simple upturn or downturn. And the eyes are magnificent. I could 'see' the shock or lust or fear or happiness expressed through them.

They really seemed focused and caring about one another by the end.

She has made me adore her gentle characters. Isn't that a fabulous ability? To create a story, even a basic plot one, that a reader who normally wouldn't 'do' 'sweet', would discover a happy love for her absolutely memorable and even arousing short stories!

Woot!
