Main story got on my nerves so much with all the cheese and clichés and how annoying the characters are. Second story acts more like a back story for the first rather than a separate one so I wouldn't comment on it. But that final extra definitely left a bad taste in my mouth. Surely a foster father can rape his child all he wants if it's done in the name of ~love~ and thus all should be forgiven, especially when he'll later generously leave all his fortune to said child anyway! What a joke.

There really should be more boys love manga with a time travel theme!
CJ Michalski is a great artist (and her seme sex faces rock!) so the art is generally very well done.
The story is predictable but I find time travel plots to be pretty interesting anyways so it was still a very entertaining read.
Sui and Rio were not that great characters for me, they both came across extremely cheesy and over the top plus I found their love story in the past rushed and Sui looked way young!
As for the 2nd part of the story, I actually liked it.
It's pretty brutal and disturbing, yes, but I think it helps the whole story and that moment when Rio met Jade and the meaning of their whole relationship.
All in all, I liked it. Good art and the story really comes together if you read the whole thing!
Be warned, the chapter 4 and 5 are a bit disturbing, BUT I think they really complete the story very well!

The part where Sui says "he loved you very much" yeah, that was tasteless but it's still true to some degree, even if it was the wrong kind of love. And let's not forget that Sui says he doesn't know anything, so Rio never told him either. He has no way of knowing what happened in the past with the step father.

honestly i thought the backstory is quite well done without the damn extra. im sure Jade don't know anything about his past, but thinking that a rapist actually 'love' his victim is creepy and laughable.
all in all, this is quite good yaoi with a lot of smut but some kind of plot. i love the rounded soft art, and though it is not 'beautiful' it have a certain cute charm. a good short read.

Very cute story with a 'Back to the Future'-esque vibe to it. You could almost see the end coming a mile away, but it's so sweet you'll want to forgive Michalski- sensei for it. A definite recommended quick read if you have about thirty minutes to spare.

Well. I guess CJ Michalski must be good or at least popular, because I see her name on the cover of comic magazines all the time. I hope this isn't an example of her best work, though, because it's bad to the point of being funny, almost, like a parody of the genre. I somehow doubt it's intended as a parody, though.
The whole thing is rushed, which makes the story uncomfortable. The characters are like puppets, acting out the expected parts of a BL story (the kind where the sex is shown), or at least the highlights, but without anything to let the reader feel that they're real people. I've seen this kind of plot be done in one or two chapters of about thirty pages each where the characters are sympathetic and more-or-less dynamic, but here it's three chapters of cardboard cut-outs. They're marionettes dancing to the expected BL pattern. Thus, you can sort of understand why I'd almost suspect this to be parodic of the genre. Except since it probably isn't (there isn't anything satirical or funny or even exaggerated, except for the pacing and lack of personality), it's just uncomfortable and forgettable.
I like time travel stories, but this one isn't worth qualifying as time travel. Furthermore, the translation by Datenshi Blue could really use a good English-speaking editor. It's fairly obvious that the translators are not completely fluent in English (or else aren't cognizant of how to make a translation sound like natural speech), and though this can usually be overlooked in manga with good stories, it doesn't help Michalski's manga at all. It might even make things worse.

I've been a big fan of C.J. Michalski for two years and I've found her works to be interesting because of it amazing twist in the stories. This one has to be my favorite by far and it kept me interested through the whole book. I'm definitely going to buy this manga.

there are two parts to this manga, where the first part (ch1-3) was the main story and chp4-5 was about the 'handsome foreigner's childhood.
Not exactly worth the read but since its relatively short, why not give it a go. It seems most people that has read it actually liked it (not I unfortunately) in accordance with the ratings.
Spoiler (highlight to view)
the main story wasn't too bad although a little short. The plot device of time travel is not original and the mangaka, in my opinion, did not exactly try to make it more original and the ending was rather predictable. The romance progressed a bit fast but this might be due to the actual length of the manga rather than the timeline in the story, but I find it unconvincing that one minute the guy was thinking about his unrequited love and the next he is kissing another guy.
Second part of the manga was the back story to the foreign guy in part one. I thought it was rather disturbing and I would’ve given the manga a higher rating if the mangaka had not included this in.

CJ Michalski is great, i love her works. Even though this is not one of my faves from CJ Michalski, still good. Art is perfect as usual and plot is kinda unique. The ending was great, i never thought it will end that way but kinda knew it.
