The distorted memory becomes a masquerade. Everyone hides behind a mask and performs the wildest acts with no consequence. But, life is not a masquerade. The main character is a girl who suffers daily from what she accidentally witnessed years ago.
She keeps having flashbacks of a gruesome scene. It always starts with her as a little girl following a black kitten, and suddenly the black kitten turns into a panther! A woman welcomes the panther to join her and the rest of the panthers. And then, unaware of the presence of the little girl, the group starts having "fun."

We get lots of "revenge fantasy" movies... where slaves rebel against masters or men go after the criminals who murder their wives.
This is a revenge fantasy manga for josei readers. The AWESOME heroine Setsuna goes after the men responsible for ruining her life in some great scenarios. I say this manga is a must read!

Seriously, if you into the crazy stuff, this is for you 
. As for the story itself I first thought that
but boy I was wrong. It was even sicker than that... It does has that dramatic thing as normal with older mangas, but if you can pass it, and not to mention murders and stuff, it's definitely for you.

Overall, I think Lady Masquerade was a good story, but the way it ends leaves something to be desired. Did her phobia go away?
