This series has it all for me. Lovely art, pretty but masculine men, and a story that's both funny and dramatic. The sex scenes are extremely hot, uncensored, and well-drawn. Yes, there is a lot of sex, but that's not all there is. The relationship between Asuka and Yui feels realistic and is adorable. Though the theme of step-brothers isn't new to yaoi, the way it's done is. There is no girlish uke here, or one-sided relationships. It feels like a love story between equals.

I did like this volume more than the sequel, mainly due to the art changes and censoring in volume 2, but "Brother 2" is still good.

I like this manga; it's not one of my top YAOI manga, but it's good. Like any other manga, this one's got a good amount of comedy, character jealousy, and small dramas. It's cool how Yui plays tennis and he's hot; I like tennis too. ;P

It took me three years to find this manga!! And it was worth the hunt!! I would not recamend this series to the faint of heart...or you who can't handle super streamy love scenes!!

Angsty tension between brother was awsome to read. I loved it!! One of the top manga I ever read!! All Yaoi fans should check this out. (but note that this manga ka...nothing is held back...;D)

i was a beginner when i read this, and it really shock me. hehe this is recommeded if you want something hot.

and the ending part made me cry so good ending.

Plus:
- Funny. Asuka is often a comic character, the way he behaves doesn't show his age!! The funny moments can also lead to very steamy ones...
- Emotional. Jealousy, love, fear, feeling inadequate... lots of deep emotions that will keep you hooked.
- Very explicit. The sex scenes can make you blush fiercely! No hidden, blanked, glowing details... it's all there for you, babeh! You may feel uneasy at times too... but I suppose if you'll read it after looking at these reviews you'll be aware of this.
- Great anatomic art. Not only the boys are handsome (both of them) but they are never out of proportion, the perspectives always work and the details will make you drool. (only out of proportion bits may be... well... Yui's privates!)


Minus:
- Undeveloped plot. The side characters are basically non-existent, a part from a couple of appearances the story is a closed world of the two brothers, no colleagues, no friends, no ineractions. Just them and their feelings.
- The incest theme is basically overlooked. You'd think two boys who have grown up to think of the other as a brother would at least "reflect" on the issue, feel uneasy or guilty, think about their parents... they... don't.
- Poor art in the backgrounds. As with the plot, the art too is focused on the two brothers, so you will NOT be amazed by the backgrounds because a part from some panels they are usually left blank or with poor detail. Because the focus is the boys.

Suggestion: you read it, it won't be the best manga ever, but it definitely is worth a read. Especially if you like hot brothers who have hot sex as often as they can...

I love Yuzuha Ougi's work and this one is at the pinnacle of excellence. Great story, exquisite artwork, and lots of yummy sex scenes. What more could one ask for?

Probably has one of the best balances of love & smut. I love the characters, the art, and the story. Ougi Yuzuha's definitely one of my favourite yaoi mangakas. Yes, there's no incest anywhere, so all yaoi fans should check this out (if you haven't already)!

This is definitely an excellent manga for hardcore yaoi fans with an endearing storyline to boot, so it's definitely not PWP! The storyline is addictive, albeit the over-used "brotherly" love topic[it's NOT INCEST]...the love between the Momoki brothers will definitely make a long lasting imprint on you. I finally purchased this manga when it was reprinted last year and it's really a MUST READ if you like explicit yaoi with an endearing and humorous storyline...it's also one of those "coming of age" stories too. ^__^

I love this manga so much. Like it's been said before, this mangaka holds NOTHING back XD. Not for the light shonen-ai reader, I'd imagine. And what I love just as much as the boys' awesome bodies is the humor. This manga is so funny; especially Asuka! He cracks me up so much. You'd think that being five years older would make him the cool, collected seme. Well, not so much. And I loved how at the end, when you saw the father, you realized exactly where he got it from. ^_^ Yeah, there's angst interspersed throughout the manga, but the humor and resolutions that follow make it pretty easy to deal with. A slight note while I'm thinking about it though: there's one point in the manga that's a little... how do I put it? Supernatural? I have a feeling readers are either going to not like it or be touched by it. I was a little surprised, but I thought it was kind of sweet. Anyways, this is definately a manga not to be missed. ^_^

This is now one of my favorite yaoi lists. Ougi Yuzuha deff knows how to draw a mans body and she doesn't miss a detail. If you are a yaoi fan this is a great read.
