This manga is nothing particularly groundbreaking in the world of shoujo, but it is pretty cute and has lots of "doki doki" moments. If you're an avid shoujo reader you'll predict what happens every step of the way, but it doesn't mean that it doesn't have its merits.

I like the art, it was very cute. I love this mangaka's chibis. The hero is a nice balance between the normal jerk and nice guy troupe. The heroine, while having to be constantly saved, is adorable and she is not completely useless due to her practice of medicine.

For some reason every single chapter was prefaced with the summary of the whole story, and that did get old, but other than that I don't have any major complaints.

I will say the MU summary is a bit misleading; you find out from the start that while the girl hates the guy, he has never actually hated her. ^^

this series has the cutest couple ever! The girl wasn't that annoying, so I don't know what you guys are complaining about.... She got kidnapped, but how can that be helped? It's not like she's supposed to have a black belt or something! And the prince was just beautiful.... It makes me jealous... I need a man like that too

Even though this series fell right into the shoujo world of cliches, I'll let it go this time because it's just so adorable!

When I read some of the comments, I got annoyed pretty quickly. It was quite obvious some of you didn't understand the setting of the story and most of you were hating on the female lead, Yuda. Sure it was repetitive, I won't argue with that, but you are missing out the fact that this was a monthly updated story. Many shoujo mangas that update monthly refresh the story's plot. I don't mind with people who say you hate the tsundereness in Yuda, because some people don't like tsunderes but when you say she can attack Johanne but not the bad guys, in which situation has she ever not tried to? Like for example the first main incident, when her country men lured her into a trap, she was freaking pushed down for god’s sake, and she had a knife to her throat like really you think she can do a back kick and beat the shit out of them? When she was held by the pretty lady, she freaking bit her hand and jumped into the pool so that she wouldn’t cause trouble for Johanne. Yuda can do the back kick things on Johanne because obviously he is not holding her with any force.

Yuda may be weak physically, but she has the strongest, bravest mind than all the other characters. Another thing I really also find quite irritating is the person who said she didn't do anything when he was being farmed for the massacre. It’s not that she didn't do anything, it’s that she wasn't allowed to do anything. Does no one remember that she couldn't see him? And that's why he had to sneak in her window, and dress up as a girl to see her. Did you not remember that she refused to take cover and sacrifice the people during the rose thingy? And also protected the girl from being shot? Sure if Johanne wasn’t there then she’d die and so would the girl but she went in to protect her anyways. She did NOT know Johanne was there, and yet she still tried to save the girl. Some people obviously do not understand Yuda’s character, and how brave she actually is. And some people probably didn’t read this till the end, so I’ll just stop here. 10/10 for this, very nicely developed plot and feelings. I cried at the end.

The first volume was kinda annoying at first because the heroine was not honest and super tsundere which is not my cup of tea...
As it progresses it keeps getting better, and the heroine becomes more adorable and cute..
I have a huge crush on Johanne the prince, he is not your typical prince in fairy tales that looks weak and doesn't play a major role.
I like Johanne's dark side and how he can be patient with the princess's 'FITS'...hehehe
I love this manga sooo much....
I wish i can find a prince that is as cool as Johanne!!!!!!!

I really like the manga in general but the only thing thats not good is the female lead; when she's again Johanne she can battle etc but then she cant do it against actual bad guy?Where's the point then?And it is irritating that she was such a good character at begining then started to become all self concious and jealous when she fell in love(like the cliche stupid female leads)

why oh why does she need saving so much. she has some sort self defense training and can even fight a little (she was doing flips and kicks all over the place) but it's only apparent when's she's fighting with johane. other than that she's your typical useless, helpless shoujo heroine who needs saving in d*mn near every chapter. i read this because i liked Reimei No Arcana and it had a similar plot. No two stories could be more different. if you liked Reimei no Arcana don't read this hoping for more of the same you'll be disappointed.

my personal opinion: it's a good manga. yes the female lead is a bit annoying sometimes but other than that, all around she is pretty adorable. i think it's good that she is not a strong, perfect heroine, because i think it will be boring if it was like that. as for the prince, well the prince is the best character on this manga, end of. and about the story.. it's really good and heartwarming. so yeah, give it a try

Okay, it was cute, I guess, but I never really understood why Euda hated the prince so much. She said it was because he killed people during the war.... but so did her brother? I just thought their whole love-hate relationship thing was never justified, and that she was just being all whiney over nothing. Everything involving the countries was solved easily, whereas their relationship was all rocky just because she was obstinate about her feelings. It was pretty annoying. The prince was nice, though. Pretty typical shoujo, but not really my cup of tea.

but it has lots of right on the gut cutesy moments but then again my initial impression of pure love of this ended at around chapter five because the quarrels got pretty old for me pretty soon and yuda kindda got hecka annoying, im a girl, so i dont find tsunderes cute, i mean i dont get tsunderes, i mean i get tsundere boys but not tsundere boys and though they try to make Johanne unprincely and terrible hes just so awesome and hot, all those panels of his shirt ripped open right on the middle and tucked out, just how did that happened? i liked the war concept but since its shoujo cant see any darkness (much) than that concept actually needs which is also boring.. i admit though that the boring almost brought me to tears. but i took way too long to finish this thing, because its sweet but boring.

I got tired reading the same scene repeating in every single chapter of this manga. It always starts with a description, then move forward to how the couple acts together and then it showed us how the couple showed their hatred for each other. Especially that female character. She's friggin' irritating and not once, did she ever proved that she could be a strong person. Even when Johanne was framed, all she can do is sit and cry about it. But then, I gave it an 8 because of...DANIEL!! omg. what a cute little boy!!! He's so adorable!!!!! The plot is...very typical. It kinda makes you feel like it's a deja vu.
