From Aerandria Scans:
Evilice and Sin are shadowy but attractive characters who have lived for their collections. Evilice collects items that are cursed, and Sin collects ones that were used for murder. Though they compete for the same items most of the time, they have the opposite feelings towards only one item: an old doll. It is a cursed woman who Evilice loved and ruined, and who Sin is jealous of. With stories of sinister items, their secrets spread!

This is okay... I guess, but I got through a third of the first chapter and was, well, disgusted. The art is eerily beautiful, in the backgrounds, and It seemed messy, just like these people went on a murder spree, for goodness sake (which really was happening)! I just generally dislike this manhwa, and I'm not usually a hater.

Yeah at first the story was confusing. I thought it was just a series of oneshots unrelated to each other. But gradually things actually made sense. You have an evil fallen angel/demon guy who loves a human girl. And you have another demon guy who likes the first demon and he's jealous so he does everything to stop those two from being together. I hate him btw. Anyway it's interesting. The plot does go back and forth in time a lot. Art is the really elaborate kind reminiscent of any yaoi manga.

I'm a tad biased. I like Lee So Young's manhwa. I enjoyed Model and Arcana, so naturally, I was inclined to try this one out too.

I disagree with naikan. Cheap knockoff? What?
Kaori Yuki works in the same genre of Lee So Young, but their stories are different. That doesn't mean, however, that one is better than the other. Lee So Young has her own way of story-telling that I feel is unique and very good in its own way.

The problem I think here is that the reader must be somewhat familiar with Lee's work. If you've read Model, you're far more likely to enjoy this piece. It has the same gothic, supernatural air to it. More than anything, however, this manhwa really reminds me of the Pet Shop of Horrors. There's some mysterious item that's cursed in every episode, just as there is some mysterious creature in every episode of Pet Shop.

Yes, this story is confusing and probably disjointed, but it takes a certain kind of reader to like this. However, I would not call this a knockoff of any one's work, as this piece is legit in its own way; you just need to give this manhwa the time of day.

Love it or hate it, the art in this is the most unique and stylized I've ever seen. If you like her previous styles, this is even more strange; if you aren't familiar with her work, I suggest starting somewhere else to ease into it. The plot starts out fairly disjoined, but has started to pull itself together, and hopefully the series will continue to explain the things it started off with. A firm fountation for a series: this has the potiential to become a great story.

This really borderlines yaoi, bear that in mind? It certainly isn't just light shounen-ai.

Dark Noir gone wrong?

The art is...uniquely...beautiful. The stories are disjointed from the get go. One needs to reread a few pages back and forth in order to understand what the hell is going on. And since the Aerandria team does a good job translating, I can only blame the author for the confusing dialogues. The author was aiming for the dark noir effect, I can understand that much. However, that effort fell flat on its face when the author fail to connect the characters to the stories and the pace of the stories themselves.

Messy and Unattractive

The plot of this manga, if you squint really really hard, is kind of interesting, if only it had been done right. However, instead of letting the plot speak for itself, the manga tries to shove "emo" and "darkness" down the reader's throat, and just ends up being really cheesy and boring. The art is supposed to be dark and beautiful, but for 99% of the time, the characters have the exact same facial expression, and it ends up looking repetitive and awkward. Overall the story reads like a cheap knockoff of Yuki Kaori's works, with only a small fraction of the Yuki Kaori's eloquence and art.
