This manhwa was so cool at first, i really like gender bender types so reading this was awesome. But at some point, little by little, it started getting worse. It could be because of the slow updates at one point but never the less, the first half of this manhwa was awesome.
Spoiler (mouse over to view)
that ending though.....prince afraid of pain so her husband gives birth for her???? What nonsense it that???

I haven't come across any other manhua/manhwa/manga that has a plot line like this, all though there are some that are similar, (SAO), none of them compare to how well this manhua can blend comedy and drama. Admittedly I was kind of just reading it to read it when it got to that weird part
Spoiler (mouse over to view)
where they have that band (luckily it was funny enough to not make me stop reading)
but then it picked up speed again and actually got more interesting. Definitely worth the wait for the sporadic releases.
And if your wondering why it didn't end after ch. 70, then you should read the light novel this manhua is based on.

Incredible beginning, steaming pile of crap ending

I was pretty satisfied with the ending.....sensei should have just ended it there....I hope this manga doesn't become one of those ridiculously long, drawn out mangas out there. Other than that, I guess I'm still interested in finding out what happened to Second Life after....

Edit (2019-10-03): Ok, I finally went back to read the rest of the story and I so wish I hadn’t. I’m just shocked at how much the story spiraled out of control. I actually really enjoyed the first part of the manga in Second Life and was even able to swallow the band part but the events after are a total mess. I don’t even know why sensei bothered. Started out as a 10, finished at a disappointing 6.

Can't believe it's over

Brilliant from start to finish. Years of reading, and I don't know what my life will be without it! Hahaha! I thought the ending fit very well with the overall message that it's the INSIDE that matters. Genders/relationships/states of being, even, none of them were solid, and none of them stopped people from loving or wanting to help and be with another person. Friends and family and lovers, all that mattered was the inside.

Sure, it was wrapped in a ton of action! (And some great art!) But it's that message of acceptance and love and FUN that makes me love it.

((It DID feel a little rushed at the end, but technically the story was over, so... made sense.)

It had potential.

As stated... it had potential. The beginning was hilarious and for a while, worth reading. But at a certain point, the story just dropped faster than a thrill ride drop zone. They set up for an expansive mmo world, whether dragging on or not, would have been great due to the different characters, comedy, and increasingly more polished artwork. But no. It just escalated into a rushed state of "eh". A lot of the expositions are given at face value without any delicate build up.

And the ending. I won't bother looking up which came first but that twilight ending with him in love with the child...ugh. It felt entirely rushed. If there was an extra chapter that showed her actually confronting the two and such, maybe it wouldn't have been so bad... No, its still eh. The real world threat, nuke, lolidragon's convenience for the final boss plot is just..uh. No strong substance behind it at all. Honestly, I favored the other choice than Gui because they had history and story...Gui is just..Gui? Honestly, all the other romances seem very thin. Even Sunshine's. The only good one is Wolf-nii's. Doll's actually would've been a close second or even better but it was too jumbled up in all the nonsense that the manga was wrapped up in; essentially causing me to care less. And then I had even lesser care for the demon's love. It could have been much better presented but nope. Just a quick btw is what happened.

Good give it a read,

Great read, a simple story with good pacing and comedy. It almost feels like a parody MMO with so much comedic input. Art is simple and direct but not outstanding. The pacing reads like a shoujo manga and it does not get caught up in the romances. It is not repetitive, there is no training arcs. It starts small and progresses into an epic scale of companions.

There's not enough character development with some of the main characters. Personally unlike all the other reviewers before me. I liked it, I marathoned it. It is entertaining, it is funny, has a likable MC. I would read this more as like a shounen manga. I like that it doesn't have much romance in it or gives you an ultimatum on which person the protoganist is supposed to like. Art and translation could be better.

Overall 8/10 for me. Don't nit pick and purposely find things you don't like. Give it a try. It is a good read. if you want a very engaging story, then this isn't it, but it has a good story where you can pick it up and read immediately and get engrossed.

I don't see why people are saying it jumped the shark and say it suddenly went down hill. sure it may be a sudden change compared to how it started but if you read the novel this is how the author made it to be in the first place and is setting up for the ending otherwise it would have been hard to have an actual ending and would have a high chance of getting repetitive and be like the series that just suddenly end or go on till the author dies or its canceled and has no ending.

Give it a shot since it's likable, but overall it's not great

Enjoyable read for the lighthearted romance/harem and for the gender bender. The story could have been so much better had the mangaka been more realistic. the mangaka, for example, did not fully consider how the physical setting tied to the characters responses/reactions. Without thinking of the setting the reactions came off as illogical or as over reactions instead of amusing exaggerations. The mangaka also lacked consideration for the characters motivations, and therefore, how the characters act can't be fully empathized with. Basically the idea is cute, but the story is not reasonably laid out. there are specific moments the story has tension, which was good, and it falls apart. I still recommend reading it since the set up is rare.

Steep slope down...I don't know anymore

In the beginning, I really loved this manhua, it felt fresh and really enjoyable. Might have even rated it 10, though it was stable 9 after that for a while. At certain point though it started going downhill, as many before me have said. I don't 100% agree with what was said though, since while it probably was sort of going down at that point, I have sort enjoyed the singing etc parts - though I really disliked the whole love triangle. It just wasn't executed well and felt like it ruined the story. When it started really going downhill for me was when they got out of the game and...well, the manhua didn't get much further than that yet, but I can already see the steep slope down. I have read the last two volumes of the novel because I wanted to know how it all ends without having to wait for too long and was disappointed, to say the least. But that's about the novel, not this version (yet). Plus even then the last few chapters in the manhua version were actually enjoyable, unlike the novel when I could only keep facepalming.

I could say that it started going downhill with the NPCs already as that was what inevitably leaves to the revolution etc but I love Kenshin and Sunshine dearly, they were some of my favourite characters. It was soon after that though...

I haven't read a story like this before. At first it was something new, but (like with others) around chapter 30-something I lost interest. It started getting off topic and not really about killing the monsters anymore. I like Prince, he's (I'm using he since I'm talking about her character in the game) handsome; but he can also be dense (at anything) and more into food than romance. I really wish to see more what happens in the real world since people are closer than you think.
In the later chapters you get to see less and less of the Odd Squad.
