I don't know if something was lost in translation but WTH? this makes no sense, the plot is lacking in a lot of aspects, plus the uke is an idiot and the seme is a bit touched in the head -___- I kept reading trying to make sense of things but it ended just leaving me frustrated.


In conclusion weak weak manga frustrated me to no end and I'm still angry. Gave it a 2 'cause I like the art >_<

I feel a bit better after venting

Whaaaaaaaaaat? It was so out of nowhere! How did Yotsubishi know Yuuichi?! Or, if he didn't, why would he buy him? It doesn't make sense. But I cope with that. The main issue for me was that we don't get to know a bit about the characters. I mean, it's normally like that in one-shots anyway, but they aren't even so much as stereotypes, they are just there for the sex. I'm don't like yaoi only for the sex, so...it didn't do it for me.
Yuuichi’s reasons for staying are ridiculous too. Why would he be there for a guy who's abusing him just because he thinks it might get better?
Well, let's be positive and take up on some constructive criticism, not just bashing, right? It's not like there was only bad parts. Some dialogues really got to me in a good way. When Yuuichi cried - not that it's something new in yaoi, but it always makes me emotional - he did say some things that were heartbreaking. And then comes Yotsubishi's equally cliché phrase "don't cry, I'm sorry", which, for some reason, sounds different, like he's begging. And that was totally sweet. Plus, he does things that surprise me sometimes. When he kissed Yuuichi's hand, for instance - not that it's an innovative gesture, but the meaning it had, like "you can hit me, but I'll only give you love" was really...I held my breath there for a while. Also, the art is really pretty, but mostly, the expressions are very well drawn, so we can tell exactly his feelings of humiliation.
But after all, this is a classic “he-raped-me-so-I-love-him” storyline, and what bugged me the most is that it didn't have any conflict to the plot. The uke doesn't care about being raped (not that I'm that "oh, my God, that's so wrong!" kind of person, but I like it when it’s a little realistic, at least) and is fine with the seme's presence. What's even worse: no certainty that they're gonna be together, because they don't actually love each other - and the seme even seems to be a perfect player (he doesn't even know the uke's name at first, for fuck's sake!). That’s what made me end this frustrated, and I hate that feeling: it seemed like it was incomplete.

it was ok...although the ending was very confusing....seem incomplete...is like it didnt have any ending.
They start as one and end the same, there is no development.
The uke hates ppl that just think money can buy everything
the seme thinks that he can buy anything with money
and there wasnt even an I love you or anythign
Kind of dissapointing

If you have a need to read these oneshots, I would have to say that Master: Heart Rate was better.
