This was pretty fun at first, but at some point, it simply turned into a "we like each other but fail miserably at not only being direct in our communication, but also in reading the most blatantly obvious of cues from each other."

If it wasn't for the cute artwork and frequent fanservice, I'd have dropped it a few chapters in.

And something people griped about, like dressing up and make her hair before go to bed, here's one thing to consider:

Girls are naturally competitive with each other. They sleep 4 in a room, plus a guy, which double the motive for competing.

That said, school life genre is not too engaging unless there's struggle going on. Battle, sport, or some such. romance alone doesnt cut it, with me.

This is an example of a harem romance comedy that isn't completely annoying. The main male character is actually likable (it's the main female character whose thoughts tend toward the sexual) and although its a typical harem setup the supporting cast has yet to show any interest apart from getting him and the main girl together.

Overall it's a cut about your typical cookie-cutter 'everyone loves the loser'

bad art and the story doesnt make any sense at all. its like dressing up and fixing your hair before you go to bed, why would u do that? the logic in this series makes no sense at all, and it feels like the author was just being cheap to attain popularity. there are so many other series that are better and i hope this never gets turned into an anime.

Finally, I found (and my first) a manga where the male protagonist is not a complete sex fiend. Most series have the male protagonist always thinking perverted thoughts, but in this case it's the opposite! The artwork looks good and the character's personality are fitted for each one. I rate this 10/10 🙂

one of the few harem manga i've seen where the male protagonist isnt a complete douche, and you can kind of see why an awesome girl like the female protagonist would fall for him. drawings are above average, but beyond that, it's pretty standard.

This one is a decent romantic comedy. Art's decent and there's good perverted humor to be found. It doesn't quite feel like a harem though since there isn't any competition for anyone's affection yet.

While it's not the worst of it's kind, it's also overbearingly average. It resembles too much of a stereotypical harem manga, which, based on the amount of mangas of that genre coming out each year, is overwhelming. The series is so-so at best, compared to other titles. Unless the mangaka introduces new innovations to the plot, or at least to the characters, Otomari Honey is just that.
A decent, copycat harem manga at its best.
