junji ito's art is the stuff of nightmares. he can draw the most beautiful, the most delicate of girls and boys and you will be hard pressed to find flaw on them. and then he can go and draw the vilest, most horrible creatures you had ever seen that they will follow you in your nightmares.

not only the art is exceptional, the stories are also riveting. there are no rhymes and reasons things happen, and there is no justice but whims of a cruel god. it doesn't matter whether you are a good girl or a bad one, you will end up as a festering corpse filled with maggots either way.

Lots of very itou junji stories, as good as ever.

Thought it would never end and was surprised when it did. Would definitely recommend to anyone interested in weird horror/the mangaka's works.

not very scary
and as with most of this mangakas story
things just happen
there really is no backstory and very few explenations

you would find alot better "scary" stories if you google "scary stories" and click the first couple of pages
scooby doo manages to be more scary than this...and thats not good
worthless

you'll rarely find 'mainstream' horror stuff here. instead of scary, you'll get gross and creepy weird feelings, but not gore, I guess. Itou Junji is my #1 horror mangaka. His drawing itself is already creepy and most of the story come unexpectedly, well most of them have twisted end.
I'm surprised many translator decided to do this series, and i really grateful for that.
I love all of this. so far still good. it's worth reading for creepy stuff fans. I suggest you start with lovesick dead if you new for this stuff. It has less weird things.
well, all my thought was already been described by whatnot. Maybe many Itou-sensei's fans have the same feelings biggrin

I was surprised no one has commented, then I will take the honor of first commenter, though it's not so honorable whatsoever, I'd still be happy to.
Junji Ito is my favourite horror Mangaka. I have to say, his stories are more to the creepy rather than to scary side. I started out reading Uzumaki and since then I have been looking for more of his works.
This manga collections were what I found, and boy was I glad there are so much that have been translated. His stories never bore me, seriously, I am always looking for another but it seems the scanlators are having a break or something.
anyway, read it now because I'm sure you'll enjoy the creepiness of Ito Junji's world
I give this a 10
