I was so hooked on this manga that i practically read volumes 1-32 in 2 days. (I originally stopped at volume 21, but i let the scanlators catch up. This manga is so good that i had to start it over again).
I was just so engrossed and it pains me whenever a book is burned, but it had to happen since someone has to become the King of the demon world. But I didn't think that it would had hit me that hard whenever a book was burned. You end up falling in love with these crazy demon kids.

I really like this manga. I've heard some people don't like it because of the art. I can't really find any complaints with the story besides the fact that it's a somewhat typical shonen. But what really does it for me is the comedy, most importantly, the facial expressions on the characters. They make me laugh just thinking about them. It's pretty much been said in other comments, but this manga is great. OoO
An amazing read.

From the moment you pick it up it just hooks you. Time flies by incredibly fast due to the quick and hilariously told plot. Characters are great and the battles never lose your interest. I've read this over twice (though not to the end) just because it's that good. To date I've only read only 2-3 mangas twice.

I'm at volume 22, and it has been a very enjoyable read so far! Great story, with lots of funny moments to boot. I absolutely love the mangaka's sense of humor. He never fails to bring a smile to my face
I am in love with most of the characters, especially Kiyomaro. (I have a soft spot for smartass dudes *cough*L*cough*).
Well it's not perfect, but I enjoy the story enough to overlook that. My only major complaint is the character of Megumi. She's kind of a Mary Sue :/
Otherwise Konjiki no Gash Bell is a pretty awesome manga. I would say it's as good as the more popular shounen mangas. It may not be every shounen fan's cup of tea, but people should definitely check it out nonetheless!

First I saw it and I noticed it differences with other manga not just the drawing but the colouring so on. Many people in Viet Nam telling me that it's not worthy to read because the drawing was so ugly... and I think they have absolutely wasted a marvelous manga. Doesn't matter, just as much as I like it, especially the story and the unique way of drawing. Raiku Makoto, you're a great artist!
An epic action comedy with dynamic characters.

This manga has everything. It has comedy, with really funny facial expressions, too. It has a large cast of characters you care about, who are complex and dynamic. It has plenty of action with an engaging strategic narrative like you'd expect of a good shounen. And it has powerful existential themes, which aren't just abstract, they're driven by real events and experiences.
The storyline is creative. New developments occur pretty frequently, but rarely with spontaneity, and they're never isolated experiences. It surprises me what the author does with the characters. The characters aren't just dynamic, they're incredibly dynamic, unpredictably so. Their emotional relationships, and the feelings of comradery, kindness, sadness, passion, and appreciation that pass between them, form the basis of the serious side of this story.
Although you often see characters running around zanily, the action itself is completely realistic. As it pertains to humans, at least (demons have more endurance and speed / physics-defiance). I thought for sure there would be a lot of unserious moments, where for comic or dramatic effect the rules would bent, but no. There are certainly what could be (meanly) described as deus as machina--unavoidable when the manga's pacing is so fast--but for someone who had never read a story before and knew to look for such things, they would experience zero breaks in their sense of realism, and I believe that's really saying something.
Volumes 25-30 of the manga were released after the 150-episode anime adaptation ended (I don't know what the anime covered, though), so I'm glad that a group (or groups, if Anime-Destiny were to also start releasing consistenly) is willing to take on this unique series, so I can see its to the author's intended conclusion, which I hope will be in the distant future.
Definitely worth checking out. The first few chapters are probably enough to give you an adequate sense of what the story's potential is. Not a masterpiece, but certainly a work of art, and one that's totally enjoyable.

The story is very simple, but that's the case for most shounen action manga.
The art has a unique style. At first I didn't like it, but after a while I became used to it. The mangaka's graphical jokes are great. The characters can be cool, or cute. (Especially some of the demon childs. Tio FTW)
The sytem and the representation of the fights are great.
The main character (Kiyomaro) is not stupid! Well at first he is a bit antisocial, but he overcomes it very fast, and after that he is cool.
I think this manga deserves to be put on the same level with some much more known and successfull action manga like Naruto or Bleach.

one of the winning points to this manga is how some of the characters looking they're spazzing out when fighting and running. other than that i appreciate the story.
