Description
Once upon a time there was a talking frog. This frog's name was Strawberry-Chan. Strawberry-chan loved his boy, Akiyoshi, very much... but Akiyoshi liked nothing more than to use a straw to blow Strawberry-chan up like a balloon - much to the chagrin of Strawberry-chan. Akiyoshi's friends all feel very differently about Strawberry-chan. Some wish he were treated better, some really love Strawberry-chan, and one even wishes he was Strawberry-chan. With all of this love and abuse, will our frog even survive the first volume?

personally i found this book seriously funny! true it was a bit...wrong in some cases but this helps u to "destress" after a long day by laughing...the first book was drawn 5 years before the second. in the 1 book was funnier and the stories were better but the second book was not as good....but there a great improvement of morinaga's drawings.....results after 5 years of practice...lol

I just bought and read the first volume of this series and... it was both funny and a bit disturbing. This series was actually made up of very short chapters of the daily lives of the main character, a frog named Strawberry-chan and his master and his master's friends. It's done in a "slice of life" kind of style, so if you prefer a series with an actual plot, I suggest looking elsewhere.
For those who have already read other series by Ai Morinaga, you won't be particularly surprised by the odd disturbing bits. If you are not already a fan of the manga-ka, I suggest reading Your and My Secret/Boku to Kanojo no XXX (is that the right wording/spelling of the Japanese title?). It's a better series and a better introduction to Morinaga-sensei's work
