Born of an Incubus clan, Tsukiya has had enough of the pain that comes from only bringing death to the human men he comes to love and so closes his heart, and denies himself from ever again feasting on human souls. Gento, the ever persistent demon that he is, has never been far from Tsukiya's side and has seen him mourn the death of many lovers, never understanding why Tsukiya continued to seek a love with these mortals that would forever bring him nothing but pain. Now years later can Gento, still ever pursuing Tsukiya, finally win over Tsukiya's heart for himself, and can Tsukiya help a young Incubus through the pain that comes from falling in love?

There's more of the story than the synopsis. It's a bit regrettable that i only read this now. It's definitely not a typical yaoi and it has depth. this is just as good as the rest of kodaka-sensei's work. definitely worth your time.

Wish it was more fleshed out...

The concept of this story is good, and I've also taken a liking to most of the characters, but I feel that the storyline is very uneven and the time skip causes confusion.

The first chapter was nice and angsty, although the second chapter suddenly jumps into modern era (which is only supposed to be 10 years later? Hard to believe). There's not only personality changes between chapters, but also new characters who pop up that have don't play a relevant role in the story. Then in the following chapters, the focus suddenly shifted to Aya out of nowhere before the relationship between Tsukiya and Gento could be explored further.

I feel that the romance between Tsukiya and Gento became official out of nowhere, when previously they've only been predator/food. I really wish that the this story fleshed out its plot more and show more relationship development between the main two characters.

Despite these flaws, though, I still enjoyed the story quite a bit and especially love the characters of Tsukiya and Rui (aw, so cute). I'm sure I'd be happier if this story were to be extended into more volumes.

Ok well this confused the Hell out of me to begin with, I'm still trying to figure out the point of chapter 2 since it introduces supporting characters and then completely abondons them in favour of Aya and Rui. The concept is an interesting one and considering it's short length there was a great mixture of comedy and seriousness with actual thought evident in the dilemas the characters face. I would have loved to read more since there was a lot of potential to expand the story and characters. Overall it was a rather enjoyable manga and you should really persist with this. Once the confusion clears the story is simple, amusing and rather touching at times.

i really don't like this genre but i try it anyway. and then after reading some i fully hated it. i don't like it when the uke is like a woman and the only difference with it is it has penis. i don't like coz he talks, he moves, and LOOKS like a woman. so there.

i wish they would have gone into more details of tsukiya and gento's relationship, but i think that hidden love(on tsukiya's part) shown out. they became just like a family! sooo cute.

This was a very good manga. It's not your typical yaoi, and once you figure out what's going on, it's quite tragic. I wanted more of Tsukiya and Tatsumi. The plot was very good though, and made me cry.

Spoiler (highlight to view)
Gento and Tsukiya are more sex w/ benefits, than lovers. ^^;

Am surprised no one did even the description when this is quite the good manga, of course you have to get through the first chapter or at least the first two pages to appreciate it and understand it better.
