I liked the story and the characters are very well developed, but the art changed a bit too much, like in the last volumes. It was a bit confusing, a bit too sudden I guess. But still it's a very good read, so go on people! smile

There's not a whole lot of ecchi until the later volumes, so if you're looking for a quick fix, this is not the manga to read; it's definitely a slow story development. But the art is awesome (the younger males still look male), the characters are really great, and the story is cute, funny, heart-warming, with some angst here and there. I guess I should try not to put spoilers in. You have a teenage boy chasing his childhood crush while getting chased by a childhood friend who has a crush on him and is getting cheered on by a female friend. Seems like a love triangle, but turns more into a love...hexagon (6 sides), I think. Haha! Sounds like things get ridiculous, but Kodaka-sensei makes it work. Oh yeah, at one point it's a love septagon even! Overall, some characters use persistence and courage to get together with the people they love, while others learn to open their hearts to love, or both. It's a story that seems like it could go on forever, but doesn't because at some point they need to grow up and be responsible uncles/fathers, like they do (kind of) in Renai Houteishiki. wink

with the blue seeker user. I have all the volumes, I thought it would be awesome, but its the first time I've felt greatly cheated by a manga. seriously, what's with all the reminiscing? there should be a limit to flash backs. I got half way in the whole thing, and tried reading it when i was bored, but heck, even then using so much effort......its just not worth! I liked Love mode, but this I just couldn't.

This is probably the best BxB I've read to date. It's funny, sad, heart warming and dramatic. Most mangas only focus on a few of them, but this one had one of everything.
The character development was, at first, pretty slow, but steadily increased. I was glad to follow along as some of the characters discovered themselves and others reaffirmed what was most important to them.
For the setting, let's just say it was all over the place. From Hawaii to Kyoto, all the way to Norway. But no complaints from me.

wow, jesus, there's got to be something wrong with me. It's so high rated and I normally love these types of series, but by the time I got finished with this, I didn't get this yay!ending buzz that I normally get, it was more like "FINALLY IT'S DONE" relief.

Which I really, don't understand. Nothing about this series was too shabby, it had an awesome use of everything, maybe it was just a bit too dragged out, or something? I'm not a boysex psycho, either, though. I normally prefer shounen-ai. hmmmm

I have to say that i almost gave up on this manga on the second volume because the relationships are one of those very slow to develop, but am glad i stuck with it because it was worth it. Many parts made me just laugh so hard that my stomach hurt but there were also very sweet moments. I liked how realistic the characters were and how it showed that love is just not that simple, not to mention that when the yaoi scenes finally came it was glorious. I also felt the art seemed to get better as the story progressed which made it even better.

The first few chapters did not get me hooked & I did contemplate whether I should go on or not. I am glad I pressed on because when it starts picking up, this manga gets good; & after completing it I confidently say this series is a gem!
The story made me laugh & made cry. Kazuma Kodaka-Sensei is talented in using body postures & shading in her drawings to convey deep emotions & I loved the details & attention she paid to that!
In the end the characters & multiple relationships (including friendship & familial ties) sucked me in & caused me to have a special feeling towards them. One of the enjoyable parts about the manga is definitely the evident growth of characters. I just wish the manga was presented with more cohesiveness (but that might mean more volumes xD so I can understand why the mangaka chose to squeeze in as many events together as possible).

light manga with mild themes... it's sometime funny and cute.. but there's a general lack of cohesiveness of the plot... the mangaka's drawings did evolve quite a bit and there's quite a large change from vol 4... it certainly improved and made reading more interesting...
if you're looking for something light and easy-flowing, this is one to read... but otherwise for a tighter and more exciting plot - give this a pass..

Love this story. The plot is simple but meaningful. Characters evolve through out the story but they all sequence in a way that make readers feel pleasant when reading the manga.
