Good manga. Love the plot twist, which was a nice surprise. Great ending, too...very romantic.
What kinda put me off is how this manga glorifies Korea a little too much. I mean, they're fighting a war, right? And wars just aren't that black and white. I don't like that the Mongolians were so blatantly portrayed as immoral, blood thirsty and evil, while the Korean were portrayed as heroic, courageous and self-less. Eheh...seems kinda shallow to me. But whatever, the rest of the manga's not bad. All in all, I liked it.

Ive read many many romance historical mangas and when I just cant find anymore this one popped up. When I searched it on Baka i was prepared not to see any romance. But what do u noe it was there.
I loved the story and plot. Though sometimes gets a tiny bit stale I was still intact to it for 5 hours straight until the very end.
The last chapter was just unbelievably amazing. I did not expect such an awesome ending.
When the teacher got cut off it made me really want to know who lead the rest of the war for 45 years. dmnt lol
I love this and its up there with fuushigi yuugi

Hello everyone, this is my first review and after reading the manga i had to make an account to comment it.
I have to say that the body of the manga wasnt very good. The whole time the main character is not strong, he is not a hero. Everything is out of place until the last volume. In the end, this manga is about
LOVE!!!!!
and HATE!!!
I was pretty bored the whole time reading the manga but in volume 11 everything came out together and i think this manga deserve a 10 just for the ending alone.
So if you are bored and stuff while read, just keep going until the end, it will be worth it
I give this 10/10

This manhwa started off slow without direction and then the basic plot was introduced and in between all of that and the end, it managed to piss me off. You ask why? Well, it not because the of sheer violence, rape, and coma rape, no; it's because a good deal of the characters were just not good.
For instance, the main of the story, Moon-Bin was just a winny little brat for most of the manga, seriously, i was wondering when it was going to stop, and his character just didn't appeal to me as being the main of the story. The next is Chung-War(i wonder if i spelt her name right)
There are other things like the drama between Sayi Tayi, Moon-Bin, and Atan Hadas started playying out like a thrid-rate love triangle but my rant end here.
Despite that, the action was good, art wasn't bad and the ending was the most redeeming quailty of it. It's a pity that i can't recommend it.

She sees her fellow countrymen get killed and raped by the Mongoalian guy, gets captured by him, gets raped by him too, and then years pass and we find out she loves him and is having his baby, WTF!!!!

this manga (manhwa?) is an all-around decent read. it has elements of romance, history and rivalry that keep us interested throughout the series. great fighting and action scenes provide a good balance to the other elements of the story. definitely something that's worth picking up.

Lemonade- is, only, carbonated lemon juice.
Erm... I think this manga was more about fate and sole links, than war or action. Yep, everybody keeps fighting, and killing won't stop till the last volume, but that's all background.
The ending says it all this manga was about.
Too weak for a historical drama, too strong for a romantic novel.
I woulnd't recomend this manga for people expecting either of this kind of genres.

Military and war aspects are good though...

Reading this now(up to volume 4): The military and war aspects are very good though the romance is not so believable: why do such female characters always have to be strong but then fall blindly in love with someone who saved them?
The pacing is quite good and the art is pretty nice too. However, the story holds a view too simplistic of war and brutality, unsuited for a plot of such ambition.
It glorifies the Korean side a bit too much, I think. War is often brutal and neither party is as innocent as they make themselves to be. It is inconceivable to think that the after-effects of murder and brutality would touch few of the people in the Korean forces, while reducing the opposing forces to nothing but brutal murderers.
And the characterisation is just okay...it's neither bad nor that great and it's not 1 of the strong points of this series. There aren't many memorable characters and only the Princess and 2 to 3 of the cast stand out.
Still, it's a good read if you're looking for something very entertaining and to pass the time. At the time of this update, I just finished this series. And the ending was just about all right, quite satisfying.
Btw, I also recommend Ares and Historie if you're interested in series of war and strategy.

Btw, I just didn't like how the writer slapped in some chapter and expected us to immediately understand or feel for Sali Tayi. And that chapter,I felt, in no way explained his actions towards the princess and others since it was way too abrupt.

Has everything I love in manga. Sad moments, romantic scenes, badass fights, plenty of gore, complex story, beautiful ending.
Really though, they couldn't have pulled off the ending better.

A somewhat disappointing story as far as I'm concerned, not bad, quite decent, but nowhere close to let's say Berserk. The art however is absolutely splendid. Strong 7.
