too short and not well written

i liked the fight scenes but overall the series was too short for me to develop any real attachment to the characters.
the romance was not paced very well, one minute they are arguing and the next they're suddenly in love and smooching. the ending was very close to the taiwanese drama love contract, but unlike the drama, it didn't make me teary-eyed. i think it was supposed to be sad but by then i just didn't care anymore.
the story itself was well done for the first couple of books then it zig-zagged like crazy. i wasn't wondering what was going on, but i did think it was very badly written.
there was a lot of nonsense things thrown in and i think i even rolled my eyes a few times.
still, i gave it a five for those first couple of volumes.

Was good but then goes Downhill

As you first read this manhwa is starts out pretty well. as you read about 20 chapters the plot goes from 0-60 in 10 chapters. I felt that the manhwa could have been longer. The manhwa is only 30 chapters so you can tell that its really short for a marital arts shounen manhwa. I thought that the manhwa was getting axed but I guess I may be wrong since it doesn't say it.

You find out about the protagonist's secret and I was quite disappointed. If you are hoping that the main character gets stronger than you are wrong. The ending for the manhwa was sad but not worthy enough for me to shed some tears.

Overall it was a good read at the beginning but it goes downhill. I don't recommend it even though I rated it a 7.5/10.

ping was okay. a bit cliche and short. the last panel was really sad tho :\
i mean in the end, does he learn how to fight or not? what's gonna happen to him after the bad guy is dead? who's gonna take care of him? etc etc

Art is a 10/10, story is a bit cliched but still captivating and the character all felt human enough to feel for them - even the purposedly "bad guys".
A big plus would also be it's pace, which is not too long and not too short (it could have been longer though, the supporting cast could have been fleshed out more thoroughly).
All in all I'd give it a 8/10 but since the ending was pretty much obvious after the first volume or so, I gave it a 7/10.

Worth reading!

To summarize, this manhwa is a retelling of a section from "Yu Yu Hakusho" - Toguro and Genkai's tale. If you are familiar with this plot, you can probably skip this manhwa.

The martial art techniques used are different, but the plot is the same as "Genkai Vs Toguro" arc. The art is decent.

Feel free to ignore martial art tecniques and esoteric Korean names used throughout the manhwa - They're are not important. Just concentrate on the story! The manhwa simply intends to make you think about the consequences of immortality and greed.

Oh.. don't judge this manga by its cover.

PLZ ADD TRAGEDY TO THIS MANGA'S GENRE

THEY SHOULD HAVE PUT TRAGEDY IN THE GENRE D: I ended up getting teary eyed because of how it ended...I seriously hope that the protagonists in Yureka don't go through that...But then again, it's a different author. Either way, read this manga if you're looking for martial arts fight scenes, some supernatural, a little love interest, an a real tear jerker( You may cry or be upset about the end, it was a bit rushed)

Yeah, basically what everyone has been saying. The series started off well and interesting until a certain point then everything started going crazy and the ending was weird (but would have been quite good and nice if this manga was more focused on romance/tragedy. Or maybe i'm missing something because of imagery or dialogue). Anyway, it WAS good, and potentially, could have been WAY better

Can't say this one's too good.
Maybe that's because it's the kind of story you'd better read in one go, so that the immersiveness doesn't get lost.
The release have been quite stretched out, so I kinda lost the flow in the fights and the emotions never really stayed with the chapters.
Guess I'll re-read the whole thing some time. Might change the score to a better one then.

The ending is quite disappointing: Short, cut off and confusing, in a way. Nothing I'll remember half a day later.

I gave it a 5 considering I liked it at the beginning (v1-v3), it was developing nicely. BUT after that it just kinda accelerated out of control and ended at volume 5, as someone else said here and I quote "eventually just couldn't get wtf was happening".
