From Tokyopop:
After establishing an idealized utopian country, the legendary warrior, Hong Gil-Dong, disappeared without a trace. As time passed, the people of the land began to forget about Hong Gil-Dong, who had been enjoying a peaceful existence of anonymity in a small village. Until one day, when a band of unknown warriors invaded the village, leaving it in utter ruin. Now, Hong Gil-Dong has returned, determined to raise his village from the ashes-but in order to accomplish this he will need funds. And so he finds employment as a bounty hunter, capturing wanted criminals. Then, in a twist of fate, Hong Gil-Dong inadvertently rescues the daughter of a wealthy merchant from a kidnapping attempt. Consequently, he is hired on as her bodyguard, and charged with delivering the girl safely to her father. But evil forces lurk in the shadows, observing the hero's every move-waiting for the opportunity to strike.

The fact that this series even get a 5 for a rating is because of the amazing artwork. Heck, I even drew Danu because he's extremely cool!!! But story-wise, it just isn't there. This manga could've gone EXTREMELY extremely far if it wasn't for the really lame story.

this series has started pretty well. The art work is brilliant much more detailed than you normally get in this type of book. i'm guessing the artist is a guy judging by the girls bowling ball breasts which are slightly comic. i've read the first 3 books so far and i enjoyed them but not much seems to happen in each book mainly just alot of fighting i think its setting itself up to be a really long series. i will definately buy the next one when it comes out in nov/07.

This is a sort of cheesy martial arts fantasy, complete with the yelling out of the attacks. The action is fun, but there's not much there beyond that. The art really stands out, as the characters are detailed and faces are drawn in a more realistic style. Although, I was sort of put off by the way the artist drew draping fabric, because sometimes it looked more like ropey veins under skin. Also, all the female characters had huge melon like breasts, which of course were barely covered in their ridiculous outfits. In fact, the main female character was pretty much just a fan service object for the hero to rescue. All this I could have overlooked if the story had actual gone somewhere in the five volumes I read. Unfortunately, it failed to retain my interest, so I'm dropping it.

The art is just jaw dropping. The author draws the most beautiful, realistic girl I've ever seen. And I've seen a lot, slightly better than Shin Angyo Onshi, better than Katsura.

Good art, bad fighting, the moves are ugly, pretty immature too, like a kid was imaginating a fighting scene in his head.
Also its a short series of 3 volumes only, so its too short to actually enjoy a good story and get some good character development, a waste of talent if you ask me.
