Read the spoilers bellow when you are done

I’m a fan of Tsukumo sensei’s work. This story was handled well and the ending was quite real. It is sad that it ended there but sometimes that is life. The characters were interesting given the length of this one shot but it took me a while to get which character is which. I have other things to say but most of it is fangirling so I’ll spare you that.

Important note: Go read the spoilers bellow me because they do help the confused of you. Even so, I’m sure that most would get the ending without it being explained but it’s good to know.

P.s: I added a tragedy Genre. I can’t believe it’s been missing for so long.

The characters did NOT hook up at the end of the manga. This is a translation error that has been going around the internet for years. The translated text bubble in question completely misses the original sarcastic tone and makes it seem as if they actually started dating when in fact that was not the case at all and it ended on a realistic sad note.

"Unrequited Love Becomes Requited" is incorrect.

this one tackles the agony of being gay and the strings that comes along....it's really beautiful and gives out a new perspective to the yaoi genre.

But I'm a bit confused. they did date in the end but did their relationship lasted after graduation? I gave the benefit of the doubt because I was confused with Nii's last words in the manga....someone please enlighten me!

The Last March

It's unusual to see a manga with a "shotacon" tag that isn't saucer-eyes and oversized nipples all over the place, but The Last March is an unusual kind of manga. It deals with the pain of boys' puberty and awakening sexuality without sentimentality or fetishism. I've never seen male sexuality portrayed so realistically in yaoi, which is probably because the author is male himself. The Last March is a gem amidst the sludge that is the shota yaoi genre.
