Might have been decent if it didn't take place in the 3 kingdoms setting. It doesn't fit at all with it and beside pointless it's also confusing, also there are full chapters of events of the three kingdoms that have no bearing at all with the story acting solely as fillers. Then you have the uninteresting chars and the completely unexpleined ones, like akitsu that is a human but has gods powers or Shaga who is over 100 years old and has mysterious powers because... she lays with men?. Hige-Land and hige-people?
As a result this is a convoluted and senseless story, most characters, and fights are not in the least interesting and are lacking imo, the only nice thing is the art.

* Bland, unrelatable main character? Check
* One dimensional and often annoying side characters? Check
* Confusing as hell plot? Check

@ 39 chapters in I struggle to find a reason to recommend Qwan to other people. The beginning was interesting but not great, the middle painful, and the ending reassuring in that there were only a few more chapters to go.

Although the idea of this manga isn't exactly originally, I think it is presented well enough that readers would find reason to continue reading. The 4 volumes that I have been able to read so far has interesting characters that generates interest in the plot through its slightly comical dialogue and adding several foreboding scenes in some chapters. The art of this manga is able to convey visually as well; the drawing is clean and well-drawn. I enjoyed the first 4 volumes of this manga and I'm sad that I may never see the rest of the volumes released in English.

An excellent manga with fantastic art, Qwan pulls you into the three kingdoms. The story has yet to pick up pace (vol4) but questions are already raised about Qwans origin and more. I'm looking forward to the following volumes.

At the first sight it a shounen manga. Strong and mysterious main charectersmile But later it become resemble hoshi engi - epic fantasy story or something like this. It is worth to try this manga

The first 2 volumes are quite interesting. Not completly original, but funny. Then the story changes completly, the pace slows dramatically, some main characters don't appear anymore, and I personnally couldn't find anything interesting enough to continue reading this series.
