Fun and somehow it clicks, but...

At least with me. Well, I don't usually venture to unknown manga realm, yet here I am. Well, this comic might easily be mistaken as a hentai, considering Qiqi's physical form, but it's not. It's a very smartly written sci-fi on interaction between robot and humans, and it evolves around the pretense "should robot replace human entirely as the dominant [species] in the world". The art might be not something special, but I have fallen in love for this because of, well, Qi qi, and its smart plot. Although in general, I'm still intrigued by the fact that so little of scientist side of Qi qi has been elaborated by the author, but overall it's been a fun read.

It gets more gory later on, to the point that it overwhelm the fun I have reading. Also late on 02 character was getting boring as he keeps repeating his running joke of doing something threatening just to play around with Qiqi. I like their bravery to step into the ever so intriguing time travel concepts, but just when it gets interesting in that side, it is stop by a publishing dispute. To summarize, nearing its end it becomes gory to the max and mix of confusion added by time traveling. I can't bring myself to recommend this anymore.

I liked it as a whole but...
With so many bishies how come that there is no romance so far?! A few cute moments here and there shouldn't kill anyone.

Early 1980s art-style

I always thought that art styles like these wouldn't be used in todays manga. But this is not a manga. This is a Chinese Comic. And the Chinese artists who read comics usually have access to old manga titles that they learn from and practice emulating from.

What I'm trying to say is that, despite the old retro-styled art, the plot is quite interesting. I love the circumstances, the interactions, the clumsy situations, and the human concept of what sets the standard of what consciousness means and how it can become dangerous if not molded in the right conditions.

Conscious robots are based off on human conscious, after all. And if a human isn't taught what is right from wrong (regardless of their age), they'll be considered mentally unstable and do whatever feels convenient to them - even at the cost of someone else's life.

Every human has secrets. And if a human is capable of having secrets, why not a robot?
This story goes into brief detail into this concept. Although in a funny and yet action based way.
