<adds this one more time since it refreshed and deleted my post...>
Meh, I don't want to type what I had again, so I will cut to the chase. This series is horrible, it has to many of the "I knew that you knew that I knew that you knew that I knew that you thought that I knew that you considered that I supposed that you knew that I liked ... POPCORN!!!! <insert Scream face here>" which seems to be the only face these artists know how to draw.

The art is horrible, the stories throw common sense out the window when making ideas, and the scams would make Scooby Doo cry with how easy they are... saying you -ever- ran into people so stupid as the ones in this series. The whole, plot within a plot within a plot within a plot, has been done many times before.. and done better.

to firewing77: If this made you "think hard" to solve the problems in here, then that is something you need to work on. My post was in no way "wrong." It was my opinion, these problems required no more thinking or hard thought than reading "Green Eggs and Ham" except with an incompetent main character, and a secondary character who tries to make everything more difficult. There are no puzzles in here that common sense wouldn't get you through safely and quickly, and the fact that the main characters don't, make them stupid, ignorant, and painfully annoying. So, to anyone who reads, this was posted because the post above me was so wrong. After chapter 30, if you keep reading, get someone ready to stop you from putting a drill to your head... because after reading 30 chapters of -this- you will want to do SOMETHING to stop your brain from hurting.

A very good manga that has nice drawings, a decent story and leaves thinking allot. The intelligence used in the manga is very pleasing to read. Very much like Death Note and HunterXHunter.
A definite recommendation!

The main character, Nao has got to be the dumbest person ever created. It must take some kind of special training for someone to be that gullible. ARGHHHH!! Just think about her pisses me off. Well that's it for my rant. Apart from her everything else was pretty cool.

BTW: When Nao asked 'Is being honest really such a bad thing?"

What Akiyama should've said. 'No, but honesty without common sense is just being retarded.'

Okay I've read more of the volumes. I wish that Nao just dropped dead... after getting the crap kicked out of her.

I like it, surprisingly - the story is somewhat original, although, admittedly, the main character is far too naive. Even though the solutions do seem a little too simple, I think it makes it a bit more realistic. The story is starting to get a little too dramatic and exaggerated, though. Also, I think the mangaka needs new ways to "stretch" the rubberband -the girl is unnecessarily jumping herself into the game without much reason besides her "honesty."

I'm seriously enjoying this series, as the concept just seems so fresh. The fact that at any moment I always felt the guy supposedly helping the main character would betray her at any moment still seems to linger in my mind as highly plausible. I thought he was Mr. X as soon as he mention he was a substitute for some random lady in Volume 1. I definitely want to see how this turns out.

This manga explores human nature through a series of games. The best outcome of all the games is when everyone cooperates, but only if the players can overcome greed, fear, etc.

Despite the promising premise, the manga has quite a number of shortcomings. Each game takes a long time to explain, which slows down the pacing of the story. There's also a constant stream of new characters (players), so there's no room for any character development.

In order to make up for that, the author uses exaggerated reactions by the characters to create a sense of tension, which makes everything seem unrealistic and somewhat silly.

Overall, the series feels unpolished in that it doesn't live up to the premise's potential. As it is, this manga is decent casual readers, but it doesn't really stand out and capture your interest.

i have put it as "unfinished" after chap 18... i liked it up until this point but... in this chapn she truly demonstrates her lack of intelligence and it truly irritates me.. i cant stand reading it any more.. i see her decision as only a ploy to lengthen the series.

Unique plot and very good story. It's in the same category as those "solve the problem" manga (detective ect).
It's fun to read something new for once. You also immediately get into the manga without a slow start.

Edit: Omg, read chapter 18 and understand why the protagonist is the stupidest f*ck in the world... -.-

Edit2: It's fun again at least. But i'm sure she'll demonstrate her complete lack of IQ after this round too.

I've read up to chapter 16 of Liar Game, and I find it really interesting. I think it's not a manga that everyone could read, however, because there's a lot of calculation and such. Still, if you are like me and prefer that type of manga, i really recommend this. The whole 'battle of wits' thing is somewhat reminiscent of Death Note, I find, and Death Note has become insanely popular. Also, the art's really great, and it's rather unique seeing as the main character is rather naiive and is in no way the mastermind of the story.
